Wildcard's Ecto Goggles build

I wanted to use my printer to make a set of ecto goggles, so I had to start modeling. used the dimensions on the equipment build plans for the lenses, and the frame, I played around with until they looked right (later compared to matty goggles)

Because my current printer only has a build volume of 6"x 6"x 6", I had to split my goggles into several pieces to print.

time to begin assembly

connect the halves

and fill in the missing bits

More to come!

Looks good ! Is that printer homebuilt ?

Impressive ! !

Could this be the very first GB prop ever printed at home? wow For when a home printed proton pack?

The printer is from a company called Printrbot (http://printrbot.com/). I bought a kit, and assembled it at home, so technically it’s homebuilt…

Portuguese, I’m currently working on rebuilding my slimeblower using 3d printed parts. After I get my designs and processes and set, I do plan on selling parts. I know I need to hit my 50 post limit to officially sell on here, first.

More photos to come!

Finished goggles!

Btw, the screw heads on the front panel are purely for show, so I ended up using pop rivets for those, placed after the goggles were painted. They really look the part.
