My buddy Zach Helm has a gallery on his site filled with pictures of ecto replicas he’s found over the years on the net. A lot of them are just… just TERRIBLE. The really sad part is that most of them are actually hearses/ambulances of nearly the right type, making the missed marked so much more embarrassing. Granted, I’m certain that the owners were taking creative liberties that they themselves loved to death… but the results are jatrociousust !
We’ll just forgo the picture of that subaru monstrosity… ahem.
So close, but then the shriners got ahold of it.
Well I guess if you want your ecto to look like it’s made out of clay…
Another potentially awesome car, is this one of the early versions of the St. Paul or Long Island car? This one was probably killed off when police impersonation laws became more prevalent. AWESOME bluesmobile in the background, though!
Hey hey! Really makes you wonder what some people were thinking. It’s the original car, which most of us would KILL for, but they go and screw up the paint job. Some of us know where this botched attempt resides these days, heh heh. Here’s looking forward to an awesome rollout sometime in the near-future!
Looks like a 60s MM, great condition… but a red roof? Whyyy? Supposedly this one resided in Australia in this condition before being turned to this…
Aw COME ON! Hey at least is looks like it floats… The car spent the last of it’s days as a rally car, at least that’s pretty cool ![]()
That’s… well allright that’s actually a pretty awesome conversion for a high-top hearse. Bravo.
Another high-top that had potential. Why oh why must these cars end up like this instead of in the hands of resourceful ghostheads… like you!
Yikes!
That’s a bad Historic Auto Attractions museum in Roscoe, Illinois… a VERY BAD Historic Auto Attractions museum in Roscoe, Illinois. “Call Me”? No biscuit for you.
Eh, they’re foreign. We’ll cut them a break. Found in Brisbane.
Hey ma, got anything else we can throw up there?
