12" GB1 Matty figure question - 2 right hands?

I have been slowly collecting the 12" figures and Egon just arrived today. I have a strange question. Do all Egon’s have 2 right hands?

Right hand number 1

Right hand number 2

I haven’t decided if I’m going to take these out if the boxes so I don’t have any idea if it’s a glove or an actual hand, but it’s definitely a right hand on a left arm. My gb2 figures, the Egon and Ray plastic case was cracked in shipping so they’re going to come out, but if this is a rare mistake, make he stays in his plastic prison.

If this has been discussed before, I apologize. I’m in tapatalk and the search isn’t as good as the site and didn’t come up with anything regarding 2 right hands.

Standard issue is 1 righty and 1 lefty, looks like your Egon is all right.

What about the extra hands that come in the tray?

Ba dum tis!

He does have the correct ungloved hands in the tray. I wasn’t sure if this was common or super rare and worth more or what.

I do have a an extra gb2 Peter and Winston with gloves hands I got from a seller here. Maybe those hands could be used here if I ever open Egon up. I was going to use Peter and find one of those companies that make custom heads of your likeness and turn me into a 1/6th GB.

I sent a message to the seller. I double checked, he didn’t list anything about about the hands and it looked like he used a potato to photograph it for eBay so I can’t tell from the photos.

I just went and checked my Egon figure and the hands are normal. Maybe Chucky was in the toy factory the night your Egon figure was being put together and messed everything up in his hunt for Andy. There’s a thought. Chucky Vs Ghosbusters.

Put it on eBay and call it a rare/oops variant and see if you can cash in.

I have some extra hands if you need them. i bought way too many sets when they showed up.

The black gloved ones? I would really love a lefty if you can spare it!

Sure! Pm me your address. Do you need anything else?I have like five sets of their goofy microscopes and random stuff.

I Big Lots’d two sets of the Ray/Egon, then bought a third on a whim so I could costume them all in the same colors. I managed to find a Pete/Winston online for cheap before they showed up too…Then I bought another set of them at Big Lots early this year.

So yeah, I have quite a few extra parts laying around.

I think this is a good option… Some people pay big bucks for the rare mispackaged stuff…

Only vintage items. I’m a toy dealer. This is just a defective product.

The bad thing here its a matty collector item, these are riddled with errors and issues. Hot Wheels for some reason are very sought after when it comes to errors. It would take 50 years for it to be worth anything substantial, IMO.

:sigh: --Janine often jokes about me having “two left feet”, but two right hands is a new one.

Do they pack them in with a machine or is it done by hand?
