Hi guys, as soon as i saw the pics of Mattell’s Ray in 12 inch, i was blown away!

I have to say that the head was a major issue for me, so i took Vartal’s head and customized it.

Vartal is the one on the right, I liked it cause it looks more like GB2 ray… well, the otherone is great also, but … as you can see , i had to work on the hair a litle… Any ways, i really love my figure, i hope you can Guess which are the changes i did to it… Let’s see how great your eyes are..

I’m really happy with this figures, I will leave Egon as it is when i buy it because i don’t think the head is that bad, actually the rest of the figures appear to be pretty decent.. even Murray! The other thing i changed on my Ray figure was the body, it’s a Dragon Body. And I padded him a litle.. so that he didn’t look too anorexic!

Now i’m in the process on doing a Diorama for him, and one ghost. So i will keep you posted!

Awesome man-

I love it! Making the hair a bit taller has made a world of difference in how that head looks… Did you do something to the eyebrows as well or no?

So yesterday I managed to work on his googles to make’em more accurate to the movie…

I used some stereene rods to put on the lenses and knobs from another night vision googles.

I also worked on the tip of the gun, what we, the ghostheads call the GUN EARS… which Mattel didn’t include i guess because they were afraid that one could breeak them wen plasing the wan on RAY’S HANDS…and it’s true, that can happen, so i have to be really carefull now on.

and i used a paper clip to make the litle hook that goes on the back of the gun so that the ghostbusters hang the thrower on their belts…

Looking good, man, looking good. The paper clip for the hook on the gun is a nice touch.

So During Halloween i found a skeleton in a store, and i thought… i could either do a Scolery brother (the skinny one) Or the library ghost… and since that ghost was the one that really scared the socks out of me when i was a kid… i figure I should do that … so this is the skeleton… Is posable but very delicate…

I’m filling out the face with a litle epoxy putty… to shape it like the phantom on the movie… check it out!

Now i need to paint it, add the hair, and pieces of clothes to make the ilussion that the clothes are floting in the air.,.

Sal, awesome stuff! I’m taking my son to meet Ernie at the con next week! He saved my butt since I wasn’t going to go (money is bad, and I did technically meet him before)

And the ghost is AMAZING!!!..and it also looks like the ghost from the movie! The difference is almost seamless!!!

YEAH! sold it, i’m going to make anotherone more accurate, AND I’m planning on making the skinny Scolery Brother.

Too bad now Ray is aming at… nothing!
