Yes it’s your bumper, I have to completely redo the mold tho. Right after I cast the first half, before I was able to order more silicone. My wife flipped her car so I had to take off for a couple weeks, by the time I got back the silicone had shrunk some and it was too late to do the other half. I’ll probably get it molded in the next couple weeks. I really want to get it back to you.
Gareee, everything in this build is either styrene or sintra. The cosmetic plates and ribbing are sintra while everything else is styrene. I used a laminated shelf board to cut the blocks to keep the synchronus generator square.
However the cyclotron is cast from my old mold since there was nothing wrong with it.

Looks perfect! Will you be adding the extra cosmetic plates around the cyclotron? Also I don’t know if you know but i sell the base that that R-331 sits on. Shoot me a PM if you’d like, but i’m sure a guy of your talents will have no trouble building one.

Thanks nick! I actually made that part lastnight, just need to sand it and whatnot. I’ll be adding the extra plate, I just wanted to make sure my seam where the spacer meets the generator would be invisible before adding them.

It’s getting there, I should have the shell all buttoned up in the next day or two. Thursday I’m going to try and pick up some silicone to mold it. Hopefully I’ll have a lead on the other parts and have the money to mold them at the same time, if not the following week.
I love that thing. No really, I do. This is going to make an extremely clean shell. I’m jealous!

Thanks chris, I can’t wait to mold it! that being said… IT’S DONE!! I’ll most likely find a few things here and there to tidy up before molding it, but by all means, it’s done!
Hot damn. I hate to repeat myself, but this is perfect. I can’t wait to see the shells you’ll pull from this. I can’t think of one single thing I’d modify.

I’d put a slot for the booster tube, but that’s me.
Thanks guys, TC I was going to make a slot for the booster tube but didn’t just due to the fact that after i got it all assembled I wouldn’t be able to fit a piece of plastic in there to do so. However the tube that comes with the kit will be cut to the exact angle.
