Half my packs are already made from blue insulation foam.. and if the foam is rigid, you’d need something to avoid breakage. Plus adding things like ribbon cable and hoses are more difficult because foam doesn;t have much structural strength.
Thats why the rest of my packs are made from electrical boxes and wood.
Sure, I can see that…but I’m also thinking about the possibility to go in reverse…i.e. carving it in inverse into the foam…or the wood. Now it’s a mold.
I don’t know if these are size accurate, but if you download Google’s 3D app, Google sketch or something like that, there’s a proton pack that it can be downloaded from the web library.
carving m,achines usually need a “watertight” model, and the sketchup one is FAR from watertight. After looking at it some, I decided it was easier to make a new one then thry to fix its issues. Its great for sketchup, but not so hot for anything else.
Maybe if someone can rip the game pack out of the pc game, that might rprovide a better base object file.
