My dual proton packs are nearing completion and my goggles look great, but a trap is next. The basics I get but there are still some questions I have. First, how is the cartridge supposed to stay in the trap when I have it in my belt? What kind of securing methods were used or what kind should I use? Secondly, what about the lights simulating the actual trapping, eminating from within the doors I mean? What was used in the movies or what is recommended? I was thinking of a whole bunch of super bright LEDs - white, blue, etc. Third, shouldn’t dry ice do the trick for the smoke? It evaporates into CO2 and leaves minimal residue. Anyway, I appreciate any info I get. Thanks.
Hi Nick ! I’ve been studiying the trap for now one full month none stop to make a fully fonctional one. From the traps i made i usualy never needed andything to hold the cartridge in place as they fit very well in the outer trap body. I already heard that somone used Velcro with a tape face… that could do it ! And do you need it to be fonctional ??
Then for the Lighting you could plug a bunch of blinking light of all the color you want and plug them. The main problem you are going to come with i how to activate the light. Remember, if you put all of them in the cartridge with the battery… then that means you switch would have to be on the cartridge as well. and not on the pedal as it would be supposed to be…
Here is a new youtube video of my trap to explain how i make the power go from the pedal to the trap to the removable cartridge… enjoy !
nick, take a look at the ‘hero trap’ in the reference section. there is a pic that shows the cartridge separate from the housing. look at the back of the housing. you can see the releasing mechanism. that should help ya out some. unfortunately aj doesnt have a a pic of just the cartridge from the back. so you’re on your own with that. but its shouldnt be too hard to figure out. good luck, cant wait to see it. -john
Thanks for the input guys. I appreciate it. Guess what, I think I had a break through on the smoke thing. I was at a Christmas shop the other day and stumbled upon a clear liquid labeled smoke solution. Apparently, its for the chimneys on those ceramic houses you see in diaramas. I have some investigating to do, but a definite lead I’ve got.
hey nick… you keep us posted with the smoke solution.
