A second black box on the gun?

Well skipping through the movie now to look at scenes for reference, it appears that toward the bottom of the gun, there looks to be something else there. Did I miss something or am I looking at something else entirely? It appears to be seperate from the red tubing and the black box which it goes to closer to the cone of the gun. It seems like it could often be hidden due to being on the inside close to the body.

Excuse the awful pics, I don’t have a screen cap program now but this should give you an idea of when to look for it. Good shot right after Louis says “I’m a Ghostbuster!” when Egon and Winston pick up Ray.

Was curious to other thoughts while I was looking at stuff for constructing one!

good question, ive never seen that before

palm to forehead Doh! I knew I had forgotten something! lol

This was originally supposed to be in the plans, but, somewhere along the line, it got left off. Just one of those things, I suppose. I’ll have to dig out my notes to be sure of the measurements I came up with, but, off of the top of my head, I believe it to be: 3" by 7", and 1" thick.

I never did determine what it was, but, a battery box would be my guess.

Ah figured as much. Definetly not a huge deal. I probably won’t even worry about it on my SB build. I made some progress, might start a thread sometime soon. Slowly but surely.

Now that it has been found it will be easy to house the 9 volt battery to run the led gun lights instead of having to take off the back cap to change the battery out

my first thought was an access panel but now that you mention it…

When I built my gun, I included the 2nd black box.

The rear box is the battery casing for the white LED Christmas lights that power the two blue and green lights on the front box. If I remember correctly, its a string of 25 or 30 LED lights that are powered by 4 AA batteries. Got it at Target in the Christmas department with all the others lights.

The front box is a project enclosure purchased at Radio Shack for a about $6, with a pre-wired Bright-Red Blinking LED Module attached to the top front that cost $4. The LED module powers the little blinking light on the side of the gun. The two toggle switches do nothing. They are purely cosmetic.

Sweet! Very cool. I dunno what it is about the Slime Blower gun. It just looks cool dangerous and powerful, even it’s simplicity.

I was watching something on Thanksgiving that had beekeepers and the Bee Smoker made me think of the Slime Blower

wow, the official site has popped up some very awesome pics indeed.

Looks like its embedded or “built into” the gun unlike the one at the top of the blower
