Hey guys, I was just wondering if any of you had any thoughts as to what the black thing is that’s attached to the very bottom of the Slime Blower’s ‘battery box’…you can see it in the photo of Winston’s Slime Blower that’s up on Sony’s official Ghostbusters site…it seems to be either attached by black cable ties or have black wires coming from it and going into the ‘battery box’
I forget, I believe in another thread it was speculated it was what the hidden(and not so hidden, see the final shooting at Vigo) pumping tubes that allowed the slime blowers to shoot slime…

look at the “Running out of time Ray” shot…still hard to see it in great detail to what it really is but I think thats what people said before.

I found this on ebay, looks identical except the one on the Slime Blower has long, single fins on either side, perhaps that was a scratchbuilt surround they fitted it to?
I was going to say, I thought the the off-camera hoses attached to the two ‘unused’ fittings on the bottom of the right intake box…it’s hard to make out but if you look at the shot of them firing at Vigo’s painting in the Reference section here, you can see the hose running up the back of Winston’s leg, exactly where it goes is hard to make out from that screengrab but the brass fittings look like they now have something attached.
I have noticed two other little details though, thanks largely to those high-quality grabs Zack posted (one in particular- the shot of them looking out of Libby’s crown with their backs to the camera):
*The black ‘wires’ I mentioned coming from the black heatsink in the Sony photo must be cable ties holding it in place, as they are clearly not present in that Libby screenshot
*There is a ‘divider’ between the right hand side of the battery box and the right intake box, right next to the brass fittings. I noticed this on the Sony photo but the screen grabs show it too. Looking at http://raccoonrocket.com/gb/reference/gb2/slides/GB2-HD-Ref-119.html, you can see it extends past the right intake and the two hoses. Also, the two hoses are side-by-side. I’m pretty sure there is no ALICE frame on the actual packs, only the straps. An ALICE frame blocks the right intake partially (on my pack and on others I have looked at) and so the hoses have to go one above the other. SO I think the little divider is where the belt attaches on the right, and the black bit on the left discharge is the left-hand attachment for the belt.
*Also, note that the side hose attachments are just plain black tube and not brass fittings
*Again looking at the screen grab from inside Libby’s crown, there appears to be ANOTHER brass fitting tucked in behind the brown ball on the left-hand side of the battery box.
