GBfans shop says 1-1/2“ aluminium but Stephan’s plans differ. What’s the consensus on accurate diameter?
Sorry if this has been done before, the forum search won’t let you search for PPD as the string isn’t long enough.
The Stephan plans are not super accurate. They have all the right parts in the right places, but the dimensions are off in several places. Good part is that if you make one based off of those plans, only really ■■■■■■■■ Ghostheads will know. All of the plans should be taken with a grain of salt. They were made before the really good reference pictures were shared (as I understand it. Im still relatively new to the ■■■■■■■■ parts of the fandom). The above post is from the sony lobby set of reference pictures. There are several pictures with a tape measure showing their dimensions…However some of the shots are distorted, so again…grain of salt.

Not sure where you are on your proton pack making journey, but you can spend as much time as you want to tracking down accurate measurements. Taking a bit to decide how far down the rabbit hole you want to go may not be a bad idea.
