I’d appreciate some advice on lining up these two shell halves before I commit.
They will need some filling and sorting out but wanted to know if this looked OK.
Some bits don’t match at all.
Thanks for the help ![]()

Check out some of the great SC shell builds, like Riggs: Riggs' Studio Creations Build (Pic Heavy?) - Proton Packs - GBFans.com and you’ll figure it out ![]()
It’s best to lay the two halves flat, I then fill the gaps with some hot glue just to hold it enough that I can flip it over and add a few pop rivets where the two halves meet. Then I make a brace out of styrene and hot glue that down the center. The rest I fill with two part putty and then fiberglass the entire back of the shell. It’s the fiberglass that is holding it together at the point.
Check my build threads for SC packs.
