Alkaline Shell Run - 2014 We're Back !

****** UPDATE 5-28-2014******

**After a long hiatus I have decided to do a limited shell run if the demand is there. I would need a minimum of 20 shells to begin the run and will probably cap out at around 30 total or until the mold no longer produces good results. I will consider do a small run if there are 10, but I will have to check material costs. As always the first 10 people to order and pay for their shell in full will receive a $30.00 credit bringing to total cost for an early bird shell to 250.00 Shipped. Just my way of saying thanks for helping me to get going.

If you are interested and would like to be added to the list please respond to this thread or via PM. I will add you in the order I receive your message. If you have additional questions please feel free to ask. Also take a minute and read below to see the shell features as well as some of the completed pack by our members using this shell. Thanks Everyone !**

***********************************

The total cost each (single order) is going to be $280.00 Shipped (tentatively) anywhere in the US. International orders will have their shipping adjusted accordingly. Currently I’m going to estimate my lead time ( Time from order received by me till order is shipped to you) at about 1-2 weeks after your run has entered production. This depends highly on order volume and weather conditions and may either increase or decrease accordingly.

All orders will ship USPS parcel post with insurance and tracking. I am not responsible for damaged, lost, stolen, or misguided shipments due to address error. In the rare event that your package is lost or damaged in transit, I will work with you to help process your claim with USPS. If you would like your order quicker, then arrangements can be made with shipping rates adjusted accordingly. Domestic and International shipping cost ( outside the U.S.) will be calculated per order and will be added to the final invoice. If you are in the Pittsburgh area or close to it, We can arrange a meet and deliver so you don’t have to pay shipping.

FAQ

What will it cost to ship to “Insert Area Code”?

  • It will vary depending on your location from me. If you would like to get a rough estimate on shipping cost and live in the US, use the shipping calculator on the USPS website. Enter the following information: Origin zip code is 15056. Package information is 9lbs (Approximate total weight) with dimensions of 30"L x 17"W x 8"H. Please keep in mind this rate is subject to change depending on the daily shipping cost at UPS. Also, please note an extra $10.00 is applied to the shipping cost to cover the box and packing material.

What exactly is the “Special Instructions” heading on the order form for?

  • This spot can really be used for anything such as special shipping instructions or be used to leave me reminders on certain conditions we may have spoken about. Basically anything you feel would help make everything go smoother.

What sort of prep work do I need to do to be ready to paint? Who is this shell for?

  • This shell is meant for people who don’t mind minor work to save money. Since this is a handmade item, the shell requires some prep work before paint is applied. Small scratches or tiny holes should be filled with a body filler such as bondo. The entire pack should be scuff sanded with a light grit sandpaper to ensure paint adhesion. Any resin bumps should be filed or sanded down as well. Also each shell needs to be washed with a warm water/soap solution to remove any mold release. If the shell is not washed, primer and paint may not adhere properly. For more information please see the “Shell Care Guide” included with your shipment.

Do you offer other parts such as Bumpers and Ion Arms?

-No. As of right no my main concentration is getting shells produced. Come early 2011, I will more than likely be working on accessory items to the shell such as the Bumper. Price has not been determined as of yet for these secondary items.

I placed my order when do I have to pay?

-You will be invoiced via PayPal once your shell enters production (being made).

Does your shell fit a MMM Mother Board?

Yes, My shell mold was built to stefan’s specs and the tweaked further to fit MMM’s aluminum board nearly perfect. One exception is below the power cell. The shell should drop down 1/8" but the mother board doesn’t.

Did you get my email with the order form? I sent it to your idtjes3 email address a day or so ago.

Shane

Hi mcfly,

I found it. Seems like my mail filtered it as spam for some reason. Your added to the list now. Thanks again.

~ John

 Alright, I sent one to the other email just before I read this. It’s the same order form, but I also asked if you could drill out the cyclotron lights. Is that do-able?

Shane

Sure no problem, I don’t mind.

Awesome! The shell look great. Can you post some pics of the underside please?

Sure, I’ll throw a few up once I trim the ■■■■■■ a bit.

These look fantastic!

Order emailed. Let me know if it doesn’t show up (I have a yahoo email, so sometimes spam filters don’t like it).

Thanks!

Looks great! E-mail sent.

Gotta say it again. That looks awesome! Can’t wait.

e-mail sent. Please let me know if it does not show up in your inbox, AOL sometimes gets tossed in spam folders. This shell looks stellar.
