Aloha..........

Hi everyone. I’m a longtime lurker, first time poster. I was trying to discretely make an account in attempts to PM some users without attracting the attention of my boyfriend who also frequents this forum, but I’m playing by the rules and hoping he doesn’t check out the introductions forums. I’m trying to make my own costumes. I say plural, because (if you haven’t figured out), I’m a chick. And there’s that whole dress/shorts/pants ordeal where no one knows which looks best/less trampy/etc. To be honest, due to time restraints (being October and all), I’m gonna end up doing a Dickies dress. Once I have more time, I’ll probably eventually look into doing the suit with the shorts. I probably won’t end up doing the whole long flightsuit, because it almost never looks flattering unless you have a certain body type, which I don’t.

I currently have a Dana/Zuul dress, so worst case scenerio, if I have the dress and it looks crummy or I don’t finish, I could always just wear the Zuul costume.

Me and the bf (Yes, I know my hair isn’t crazy like it should be)

But yeah, that’s my story. I’m Cristina, I live in South Florida, and I’m here to further my kickass girlfriend-ness. Hopefully

Welcome aboard, Cristina!

Thanks, Nick. Glad to be here!

The fact that you dress up as Zuul for your BF means lifelong brownie points! Welcome Cristina

I’ for one, am with Ponyboy, on that! :eduardo:

Haha, thanks for the vote of confidence with the Zuul costume! I like to think I’m a pretty supportive geek girlfriend, especially with his Ghostbusters passion. We just went to NYC (his first trip) and he spent half the afternoon looking for “the firehouse”

Tell your boy to get his act together, Ladder 8s location is incredibly well-known and is even practically on top of a subway station!

Well he’d never been to NYC before in his defense and his “Tour Guide” friend lives 30 minutes outside town. He kinda relied on said friend to show him.

Find his friend.

Skin him!

This is just too sad to read… lol. Though, I have never been there, either. Just slime me and get it over with. lol.

Not to defend the friend, but GPS is extremely spotty and inacurate in NYC. I was looking for the NBC gift store (not NBC Studios) and it sent me almost all the way out to the Hudson, in the middle of nowhere. So I can somewhat excuse getting lost. My boyfriend had the right address, but the friend’s GPS was subpar.

It is a poor carpenter who blames his tools!
