Hey folks, I live in Hawaii, on the Big Island. I guess I’m here because I was looking for Halloween ideas (yeah, I’m one of those). That doesn’t mean I’m not a huge fan though. I’m 30 years old, so like many of you, I grew up with the movies and cartoons. My main and first purpose here is for all the great ideas and info on building a pack, then to the other details of having a great suit and gear. For now I guess that’s it, but I look forward to reading more here and contributing.

One thing I meant to mention in my intro, I also finished the new GB game a couple days after it came out. I finished it on easy though, I’m trying to work my way through the medium (or whatever it’s called on the game) now. It’s taking me longer, not because it’s that much harder, but because of work and the fact that I’ve already seen the story elements so I only play here and there.
Cool Thanks! I saw one of your other posts somewhere on here and saw you were on Maui, I’m not sure that I’ve seen any of the others yet. Did they cancel the Lahaina Halloween block party last year or no? I’ve been to a few a couple years back. I have lots of family on Maui and was hoping to be finished with everything in time to go but I may change my plans if Lahaina is no longer the place to be.
That’s kind of half true.
The Lahaina Town Action Committee was denied by the County the permits to shut down Front Street for the Halloween bash, so they couldn’t do anything officially like they used to. However people still showed up to walk the street, go to the bars…it wasn’t quite as busy as years before, or so I’ve been told. And it’s hard to say what’s gonna happen this year. Haven’t heard yet if the County is still gonna be dick about it, or if they’re actually going to get their heads out of their asses.
Oh ok, I knew it was something off like that. I’ll keep an ear out. I have a cousin that has a band on Maui so if it’s not Lahaina I’ll just probably go where his band plays, they usually play somewhere on Halloween.
I was hoping this year would finally be the year I get to go out on Halloween as a Ghostbuster, but as I’ve hit a financial snag, it seems more likely as if it won’t happen. =(
