I have a proptronix gun/pack light kit and an exoray sound kit. Are these even compatible and if so how?

There’s no such thing as “compatible” or not. You can wire any sound kit to any light kit using DPDT switches.
Truth. Take the switches in your light kit and swap them for DPDT (dual-pull, dual-throw) switches. Using one is like throwing two switches at the same time, so you can wire two completely independent systems and activate them with one switch. Just make sure that you’re not crossing power supplies or inputs when wiring everything up.
I’m completely inept with electronics so forgive my stupidity. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
