So, I dunno if it’s the same with everyone else, but a bunch of us guys around Dallas have noticed that most of the time, the gun hook has a tendency to stick pretty bad and we have to kind of wiggle/wrench the gun off the hook.
Is this a common issue with everyone?
I had that issue with my older pack, the female piece would slide too far onto the male end and would get stuck. My new Anchon GB1 gun hook works like butter, and I love it. But yes, I have had this issue as well.
I assume you’re talking about the Dixie hook, yeah? Yes, that happens with mine as well.
Yeah, it’s the dixie hook. I’m thinking maybe using some grease or graphite to (dear god, here come the immature jokes) lube it and see if it helps.
Take a pair on needle nose pliers and bend in the lower portion of the male piece on both sides. Be careful though, if you bend to far up your thrower will be really loose.

I like to leave little things here and there for people to “play” with as they see fit.
Now that I finished my pack, I also noticed a tendency to stick, too. I applied some 3-1 oil to both parts of the hook. Hope that eases the sticking.
