No idea what this is going to end up being, but as someone who is a big theme park guy (I wish I got to see the old Spooktacular and Horror Nights maze), I’m excited to see whatever they’re doing.
To think of how much work It’d take to turn a 59 cadillac sedan in to hearse/ambulance. Even if it’s a non driving prop.
Someone on Reddit pointed out that universal is probably doing a '60 to '59 conversation. They bought the pink wreak for the rear fins, front fenders and bumper.
Ecto Tech did get a 1960 M&M hearse recently… and he is building up quite a bit of good rep. He already got it converted with the windows. Just a thought but maybe they hired him out to make it? Those 59’ halves were pretty far from FL to specifically buy them.
That seems unlikely given that he’s trying to finish ECTO-1A NJ before Ghostbusters Day, seems like he’s already at capacity. Universal probably wouldn’t want to wait 6 months to get started on this, but it’s plausible that they’d reach out to him for advice or buy some spare parts off of him (anything which he isn’t going to use on one of his 3 cars, or he hasn’t reserved for the hero car at Sony when he eventually convinces them to let him fix that poor car).

Well, it is the 40th anniversary of the franchise, and I honestly did enjoy the GB house back in 2019. (Universal is only a 3 hour drive from where I live)
It would be great if Universal Orlando renewed their Ghostbusters license in some capacity for the near, foreseeable future.
I’d be happy if they had an updated special effects show or even opened up a shooter type ride, similar to Men in Black w/mini Ecto 1’s.
Confirmed to be part of the Mega Movie Parade starting July 3 and the new nighttime show, CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular.
So, I do know it’s a 1961 S&S Combo Car, and yes that 1/2 caddy bought is most likely going on it. It was also Mechanically restored up in the North East USA. It’s an Afterlife styled Ecto with hand painted GB logos on the side. It looks very nice, and it was fixed by someone who knows what he’s doing.

The royalty free Blockbuster is really cool (as the last generation who experienced rental stores, I’ve got some fond memories of them), but I was really hoping it would be like the Tribute Theater from a few years back that recreated locations. Imagine a Rays Occult section or something, or what they did for Horror Nights…but again, still super cool. Hopefully the parade float is also cool.

Side question when did St. Mark’s deli close in real life? There’s a place selling alcohol there now.
If you look it up on Google StreetView you can scroll back through the old photos, looks like it may have closed between 2012-2013 (assuming the convenience store was the same “deli”).
How there hasn’t been an actual Rays Occult is mind boggling. They could sell “I Witnessed A Mass Sponge Migration” shirts and postcards of Vigo.
Cool float. I like how Gozer’s look is based on Afterlife and they have Trevor and Phoebe actors.
I’ve seen people say they should feature GB in the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade. I totally agree. Imagine a giant Stay Puft balloon. You could have Mini Puft mascots dancing on the streets with Ecto-1 leading the way. Maybe a FE/ice float to go along with winter…but without Garraka of course since he’s pretty scary looking haha.
