Might be too heavy. The wood looks too thick.

Yeah, that’s gonna weigh a ton, I always hated this part of the business. Check out gbproject.com, there’s an article on how to make a mold with those parts and cast them with fibber glass. You might want to consider that. I’m doing it now, its a little expensive, but it makes such a nice pack!

my pack is mostly plywood 1/2 inch thick…weighs in at almost 20 lbs not too bad on the frame though
