Arizona Ghostbusters @ Holiday Toy Drive Pics 12/6/2008

On Saturday December 6th the Arizona Ghostbusters participated in a holiday toy drive. The toy drive was held at local collectable toy store Toy Anxiety. This was the 3rd year the team has helped at the event and were joined by the local 501st and Rebel Legions. All toys collected were distributed between the local childrens’ hospitals. The night before the drive the team set up a booth at the downtown Phoenix 1st Friday Art Walk to collect donations to buy toys for the event. Donations were down from the previous year unfortunately due to the economy, but everything collected still makes a difference.

Excellent pics…

I see a K.I.T.T replica

Thanks.

He comes to alot of events with us. Unfortunately we were all blocking him in that pic.

Awesome job guys, by the way nice gray suits

awesome job again..

Thanks. Our goal was for all of us to have the gray suits but they all didn’t arrive in time. Hopefully by our comicon in late January we can have a gray day.

I can’t believe i just saw this thread! That’ll teach me to spend so much time cooped up in the fan art section!

Good times First friday was! Glad to see we were able to help as much as we did.

After birthday/christmas, I should be in a position to move forward on a uniform and new gear financially, so I’m looking forward to that!

I know you were busy with the calendar art. Glad to hear it.

Great pictures, fellas. I can’t even begin to imagine what it is like living there, to think, “I can’t to work on the car this winter,” is just so… so weird. What’s the temperature like this time of year?

Also, I shall continue to refer to them as the 501st Costume Club, just to annoy them.

Thanks. Ironically enough we’ve done alot of work on our ecto this winter. It’s raining on and off now. Arizona snow as we call it since we don’t get snow and it never rains almost. Usually around 45-65 depending on time of day. What I really love is people walking around in big fuzzy boots, huge coats, mittens and scarves when it’s 50 outside. Most are just trying to capture the season by dressing like it’s snowing. They end up just looking like displaced Yeti.

Great Job guys, i always look forward to your new posts Jeff on events you have been to!

As this is the first time i have seen some of the other members dressed in the darker uniforms one question have they been dyed or have they not been touched/altered because in those pictures they look pretty darn accurate to GB2?

Thanks. The guys used color remover first, then two boxes of grey dye.

Thanks for the info Jeff also thanks for the link to the thread covering all your events u attended last year, great pictures makes me wanna go get out my gear just for the fun of it

You should. Just put a reason behind going in out in gear like we have. It makes it worth all the while. You also get some use out of all the stuff you spent so much time on. Otherwise you’re just like the people that spend thousands on a car and leave it in the garage. Some things were just meant to be used.
