I dont know anyone else who plans to get the PC Version but According to Spook Central; Multiplayer was gutted, theres NO download content and its filled to the brim with DRM ■■■■.
No wonder its cheaper then the DS Version.

by cheap you mean by price right?
anyway i hear you can do multiplayer… just not online.
but hey… you all have PSN and X-box live.
Yes I mean like its 27$ for the PC Version on Amazon and from the sounds of it PC Version has NO Multiplayer at all, just the single player game.
I heard about the DRM…I’m still getting the PC version but may use a second hard drive just for the game (SecuROM can be ugly stuff and I’d like to keep it away from anything important).
uhh… two questions… whats a DRM?
and two… i have a windows XP vista. Thats going to cut it for the PC version right?
Digital Rights Management. Essentially, it prevents (supposedly) a program from being pirated by limiting the number of machines it can be installed on. (Rarely works)
That will depend on the hardware you’re running… If you’re on a laptop, forget it. Get the PS3/360 version. If you’re running on a desktop with a good graphics card and Intel Core 2 Duo, you’ll be able to run it.
It kind of sucks, but for the price you can’t go wrong.
Does anyone know if you have to be “online” to even play the single “story” mode? I’ve noticed that a few new games are starting to do that now and it’s really annoying to people that have no internet/dial up…

so say you have a laptop that has windows vista.
your saying it woudnt work?
I doubt there are any laptops that can play the game.
Ofcourse I could be wrong..
sonicblaster59: No. Not for the PC version. Most other games don’t really need you to go “online” to play story mode.
Thats not too bad. But it does generally suck.
The only version I have trouble with, is that when I talked to the guy from Terminal Reality at NYCC, he said they dumbed down the graphics for the PS2 version as opposed to the Wii version.
But getting back on topic, It doesn’t really make sense for them to take multiplayer out of the PC version as multiplayer is highly popular with PC versions of games. Plus I’m sure that most people who buy the other versions will do multiplayer as well. I just don’t see what they gain from excluding it.
i sure hope so… we’ll see.
i’ll let you know AJ if i manage to get it working.

I think its stupid for them to gimp the game too but Atari has never cared about their customers, its why they are going out of business, they never learn from their Mistakes, there was a whole fiasco with that new Riddick game and DRM, and they obviously didnt learn anything from it. I cant wait till they are out of business, Terminal Reality would be better off with another publisher for the Sequel game.
well, lets look on the bright side of things. (sucks to be them)
atari published the game when activision threw it out the window.
i’m fine if a different publisher takes the “possible” sequel, as long as its done like this one (actors, writers, and terminal reality).
but for now i’ll be grateful to atari for publishing the game.
My Dad always said it was because they were full of ■■■■.
Somehow I have a feeling if there’s a sequel, Sony will have their hands all over it. Call me crazy but Sony wasnt interested in the game before, it wasnt until they realized just how anticipated and hot Ghostbusters are they finally stepped in, I didnt hear anything before april/may and now Sony is all over this and taking Ghostbusters seriously and they even got Terminal Reality to make a PSP Version.
Not That I have a problem with Sony’s sudden interest in the franchise but I have a bad feeling any sequels are going to be Exclusive PS3 games. Which of course would make Sony the new publisher.
Just in case anyone was wondering, the system requirements for the game were brought up in this thread:
I bring this up because of the questions about running this game on laptops. According to the system requirements, there are plenty of laptops capable of running this game. I have a 4 year old laptop with windows xp and it could run the game at the recommended system requirements with only a graphics card upgrade, and even without that it could run it well above the minimum system requirements. My suggestion is to check out the system requirements on the thread mentioned above and to see what kind of specs your computer has. If upgrades are needed you still have a couple of days before the game comes out.
That would be tough, since most laptops have integrated graphics cards as part of their motherboards… Unless anyone here knows any exceptions to the rule…
I’ve discovered that all it tends to do is anger legit buyers of the game (hardware/software problems related to the DRM)…at least with Mirror’s Edge and Spore PC a lot of people who bought the game could only play it using a crack and I’ve heard tales of SecuROM disabling optical drives.
According to the game readme file, integrated graphics cards won’t hack it. A newer Asus or similar “gaming” laptop might be able to, but generally not as integrated chipsets tend to be the cheap (compared to standalone cards) types.
