Attaching a C/D cell torch to the Pack Straps???

Hey guys,

I’m pretty sure I read a thread ages ago about attaching a torch to the shoulder strap of the pack, as per the video game, but alas, I can’t find said thread. Does anyone have any tips for new players on how to attach the torch?

Cheers,

Tach

You mean the flashlight, right? Pretty simple, check the following steps in the tutorial out (with pics): http://alabamagb.com/index.php?page=alicepackaccess

Ah ok, thanks for that. Was hoping to mount it a little higher up the shoulder though. Might have to modify the metal clip on the torch to do that though

You could also put a safety pin (horizontally) where ever you want the torch (which I’ve decided is what I’m calling all flashlights from now on) and simply hang the clip from the pin. Perhaps adding a small piece of velcro toward the bottom or the handle will help keep the light from bouncing around.

I linked a key ring around the top loop of the right shoulder strap. And then looped the back of the C-cell clip to the key ring. Real easy. No sewing or extreme modding necessary.

I opted for the good old zip-tie, and so far it’s been holding pretty well, although I may have a smaller torch than the C-cell.

I sewed a horizontal strap across my strap, and added a block of velcro to the bottom of the flashlight and the strap to keep it from flopping around.

Ranger bands. e.g.:

i would think the torch would burn all your hair off or at least singe it on one side.

a FLASHLIGHT would be a better choice.

Most English-speaking countries are going to refer to it as a torch rather than flashlight (most don’t really have a tendency to flash, either).

Locke learned that lesson the hard way.

I just used Two pieces of ALICE strap webbing a couple snaps and a couple cloths pins to hold the webbing in place on the backside of the strap. You could probably sew it to the strap pretty easily for a more permanent solution.

I used velco cable ties on my packs, they work great come off easy no hardware mods required. just wrap them to your shoulder straps and clip your radio and light on.

Hope this helps.
