Im a newbie! So pardon if this has been asked before, but for the life of me I cant figure it out and cant find any help via search. I’ve built an AWESOME pack from items at The Dollar Store. I’ll post a pic soon. But first, how to I attach the Motherboard/Pack to the Alice frame? I just cant seem to figure it out since the Alice frame is not totally flat in places and given its shape. Any help is ubber appreciated!

Good question. I’m still trying to figure that out myself.
So far, all I can think of as a “Plan B” is to drill a few holes and attach with some zipties. But really dont want to do it that way, I dont think.

it depends on the material you are using. im using a wood mb so i was able to drill holes in it that lined up with the ones that were already in the alice pack. search over on proptopia too. cause the way i did is no where near “movie accurate”
I dont think my Alice frame has holes? Can you take pics of what you did?

I used a wooden motherboard, so I used existing holes on the ALICE pack. At the top I used some of that metal strapping with holes to secure it. I wrapped the top of the frame with pipe insulation, and zip tied it secure. It is comfortable, and solid.
Top of Pack Bottom of PackYou have to drill a few holes in the metal cross section of the Alice frame and corresponding holes into your wood motherboard.
Use threaded T-nuts on the backside of the motherboard, they look like this…
And use round, steel standoffs between the Alice frame and the other side of the motherboard…
The frame is attached by long bolts that go through the stand offs and screw into the t-nuts, thus giving the Alice frame a 3" rise or thereabouts.
I’ll expand on this later.

Hmmmm… then I might have a problem because my Motherboard is not blank, it has all the stuff on it already…

i have holes in the cross bar like darren. mine came that way, im not sure if his did or not
