I’m pretty sure Mr Murray want to see their baby grow more as well as the rest of us do.
I could totally see him putting up a humorous drill instructor act with the rookie busters.

I used to think Bill’s weird attitude towards doing this movie was just him being a weirdo BUT now it all makes sense. He knew this is where it was all going and now I stand by his announced no show by Reitman. At least he had pride, this is unless he pulls a big stunt and appears anyway for some post-credits scene.
We actually haven’t seen an interview with Bill lately since Reitman’s recent interviews. Since Reitman has insinuated that Murray was hesitant because he wanted a more minor role, and I’m sure that’s what they have planned in this latest draft, I have a feeling he might come around and at least give a cameo.
Reitman says he wasn’t sure Bill was in for GB II until he showed up on the first day of filming.
Bill will say no until the cameras roll. Everyone will make thier plans without him. Then he’ll just show up.
That’s my theory, anyway.

And in all honesty I loved the second movie as much as I did the first.
It’s a common Murrayism. He did it for Meatballs too. No one knew if he would even show up and he arrived the first day of shooting.
Because it’s Bill Murray people are inclined to believe this ie the chicken nugget myth. But in the real world of movie making, I don’t think this behavior would be tolerated. Just regarding actor payment and agreements it’s hard to believe.
I wonder if he did it for Space Jam…
It is kind of unbelievable, but if it were true, it’d explain a few things.
And the idea that it’s unacceptable might be the point. If Murray acted even slightly acceptably, we’d have had GBIII years ago.

I wonder if the recent loss of Harold Ramis will motivate Bill to do this movie. After all, the word is they were all good friends.

Bill Murray photobombs some couple’s engagement photos, because he’s the benevolent equivalent of Slenderman.
If I read the articles correctly, he wasnt photobombing. He was off camera trying to make them laugh and they invited him to take a few with them.
