Let’s face it, everywhere you look now-a-days you see something about how Bill Murray is holding up the third installment, but have you read some of the comments left about him??? Noone would love to see a Ghostbusters 3 as much as i would of course, but all this anti-Murray hooplah is getting a bit un-nessacary. Anyone who grew up on Bill Murrays movies, seen his interviews, or just knows who he is should know Bill Murray LOVES screwing with people, (and yes I am old enough to remember SNL) so all this “he’s a ■■■■■■, and what a pompuss jerk” talk is not needed. He will read the script, and most likely unless it TANKS, he will do the film, but I am sure that EVERYDAY of his life, somewhere, someone has asked about Ghostbusters 3, I am sure he doesn’t want to disappoint the fans, or himself by making a sequel just to make one. All I am saying I guess is that yes I want him to get off his rump and read the thing, but at the same time I have come to expect Bill to just be Bill, he clowns, jokes, and basically does what he can to get people scratching their heads till their scalps raw, but he has always been professional. In closing trust that he wants to do this, trust that he will, and please join me whenever you see “nasty” comments to try to make people understand… It’s just Bill Murray being Bill Murray, and next year when the movie comes out and is a SMASh (I Hope lol) we can rub it in their faces lol. ![]()
Bill didn’t even want to do Ghostbusters 2; it’s a known fact that he hates doing sequels.
And yes, Bill Murray being Bill Murray = Bill Murray being a ■■■■■■.

He hasn’t set the best reputation over the years, but I respect where he’s coming from and what he’s been saying in regards to why he’s hesitant to sign on. The man wants to do the sequel because it’s the right time for one, rather than Sony wanting to pull in more money by reviving a domant franchise. The whole business with new recruits and equipment doesn’t exactly dispel his concerns.
what are you talking about? there are people writing movies just for him, the only “bad” reputation he has is from the fans in this community that want a ghostbusters three to complain about.
Bill wont do Ghostbusters 3 because its a stupid f***ing idea!
Bill Murray sucks.
WOW… How long did it take to come up with that, I hope you didn’t hurt yourself lol. I guess the point I tried to make fell on deaf ears, but then again once GB3 is made and everyone loves it I guess we’ll see how people feel then
YEAH.
leave me alone about this stupid movie.

Sarcasm, Read it, Learn it , Love it.

I’m gonna side with Bill Murray on this one. I’d love to see a GB3, but I know it will never be done right. But I’ve gotten so used to the idea, (mainly from talk, and pleas) that like Bill Murray, I’m thinking, OK, do a movie, but for gods sake, do it justice, and if bill wants something his way, Give it to em. He’s… he’s earned it ;).
I’m happy with two movies, two cartoons, and a brand new endless slew of merchandise…

i think you all are focusing all your efforts of giving a particular cast member a hard time are aimed at the wrong person. harold ramis keeps the spirit of jerry garcia alive, and there’s 100’s of pictures on google of dan aykroyd angrily pointing at a glass skull full of vodka. there’s no way these guys can fight age to get into as decent of a shape as bill murray or ernie hudson.
I’d like to see Egon with a beard. And a giant belly.
I’d like to see ray with a face lift, hahaha. But seriously… a face lift…
Harold Ramis went from Harry Potter’s older brother to now looking like the Rabbi that works at the Synagoge around the block.
maybe he will shave it…but surely he will not loose weight
Agreed with Kingpin. It looks like everyone’s selectively tuning out Murray’s negative press like the alcoholism after his divorce, the theft of the golf cart and the joyride, how difficult he is to have on set and put up with. None of this is new or surprising, directors have always been talking about how difficult he is to deal with but die-hard fans prefer to ignore it. Bill Murray is difficult because it’s how he likes to behave. Fan support just enables him even more.
