So I’ll be straightforward with this… I don’t want to construct a booster frame from scratch and I don’t want to buy a resin one either. Any ideas on what could be used as a substitute? I’m not going for 100% accuracy… I just want it to look pretty similar.
Maybe use part of one of those wire CD racks, and then dress it up a little with cardboard and balsa wood? Just an Idea.
I will be making mine out of MDF wood cut out on a CNC router, and then gluing the correct-shaped pencils on it, and real rubber strips on either side that have the correct pattern on them. I haven’t looked into the brick pattern yet though. If you’re interested, I could make an extra one for you.
Hmmm… how much would you charge for that?
