Yeah, I’m sure you’ve all heard that once or twice or a million times . . . :sigh:
I actually joined this site a year or so ago under a different name and, like a total goof, forgot what the name was after going MIA for school along with all the pertinent information like email/password/etc. So, I figured a new account would do me just fine.
As for my history with Ghostbusters, I grew up on the Real Ghostbusters and the insanely potent power of the Ghostbusters theme. Seriously, I didn’t actually see Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II until my sophomore year in college. Talk about lame! Suffice it to say, once I did I was instantly a fan and decided a year ago (when the movie hit the big screen again in limited fashion) that I wanted to give this whole costume thing a permanent place in my Halloween slot and maybe more.
Basically I’m going to be the guy riffling through old threads and inquiring about all I can do to get the best suit I can so that I can live up to my childhood ambition of really diving into a character through costume and being a Ghostbuster fits the bill for me pretty well. The costume doesn’t require me to necessarily be in constant peak physical shape and best of all aside from the Ecto Goggles the uni doesn’t come with any headgear. I have a rather radical melon and costumes with masks/helmets/etc have always thrown me for a loop!
But above all, know I’m a big fan and I’m hoping to get bigger as time goes by and I really start to delve into the franchise and the fandom. From what I’ve seen it seems to be a good lot to throw into and if not, hey, I’ll still have Ghostbusters all the same. Glad to be here and hope I manage to make myself and this place better for it.
