I was wondering if anyone knew where I can find car ads of people selling the hearse or ambulance?
well you can go to ebay motors and type in Hearse.. or Ambulance..
I know there are some online car sales places.. I live in Texas so I typed in my search engine.. Texas hearse.. or Texas Ambulance.. Or Tx hearse For sale.. and all kinda of stuff came up telling me about cars in my state.. which was alot cooler than cuz some I could go look at..
you might try and issue of auto trader.. its a used car classified book.. you can go to a book store and look at it there..
autotrader might have a website not sure..
Most of the time the good ones are gone before they ever get advertised on the internet. I’ve been buying and selling ambulances and hearses for about 10 years now, and while its possible to stumble onto a deal. Its getting really hard to find ANY inexpensive vintage cars anymore. I’ve been doing this long enough, I’ll actually get mail from people out of the blue offering their cars to me before they list them. Usually they are expensive though. I’ve got a 1959 Hearse for sale right now, and I’m hoping to seal a deal this weekend on it. For reference, its a 1959 M-M 3-way hearse. And its a restoration project. It needs alot of work before you can even drive it for the first time. And I’ll get exactly what I ask for it. With cars like this, you dont negotiate, you pay what they are asking before someone else hands over the cash. And as a general rule, if you dont have a big pile of cash sitting around at home AFTER you buy the car, I usually recommend you look into something different. There is NOTHING on these old ambulances and hearses that is cheap. Trust me, I currently own 6 1959 Cadillacs. And a bunch of other stuff.

And before someone asks. Nothing in that photo is for sale except the black hearse on the left hand side of the photo that is nose to nose with the red ambulance. And I’m right in the middle of a deal on that one. That hearse MIGHT be available if the deal falls through, but that is pretty unlikely at this point.
Good luck in your search. It is possible. But its usually not cheap.
Trust me on this one.

there is several of those beautiful things here in Tucson??? I must see these in person one day…if only to drool and get mad that I don’t own them lol
Ecto1a… Are you a god? Of.. Cash? I would so LOVE to just be able to see your 1A in person.. Maybe a picture in it or something.. She looks so beautiful! Good work man!
Its taken me more than 10 years to build up that collection of cars. It didnt happen overnight
It just takes persistance, hard work, a HUGE amount of patience, and a decent job to pay for everything. Buying the car is the easiest part. Putting it back together and keeping it running is the challenge. I’ve been working on the Ecto for about 8 years now on and off, and I’ve rebuilt almost everything on that car. Mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, etc. Its such a big car that you have to approach it in small projects so it doesnt get overwhelming.
Amazing.. She’s almost 100% on top and everything.. I realize it takes time but.. God it must feel sooooo worth it in the end, even though you’re not done yet. Still.. I ever visit texas… I’m jackin it >.> lol wait it’d be hard to get away in such an inconspicuous car now wouldn’t it? lol! Still would have to at least see her. I have to say, quite amazing. Hey, if you don’t mind me asking (And feel free to pm me the answer) what were you asking for that 59 for sale? I’m curious. Well, congrats on all that hard work.

Hey Ecto1a is that your early 60ish Chevy I see next to the 59 MM Ambulance I see? I remember reading it on the PCS boards a while ago and I must say shes turning out nicely.
P.S. The Ford LTD cop car; is that BB2000 bluesmobiles replica?
totally off topic, but Ecto1A, you gonna be taking the ectomobile out for a spin here in tucson during the halloween weekend? would love to see her in person before I head to vegas
out of curiosity, how much do these cars go for?
Alot!
I think the Ghostbusters car he have is probably over $50,000.
That hearse in the middle that looks like it is in excellent condition can go over $40,000.
I saw a 62 cadillac hearse in auto locator that was going for $21,900. I think it was located in Maryland for anyone interested.
Well I found the search engine I was looking for.. its called CRaiglist.. you can type in the word hearse and it will tell you hearses for sale in the area you live.. you type in money also.. I like did a search for a wagon.. and got all these station wagons for sale in the tx area.. mostly houston.. but found some good deals.. just trying to figure out what I want.. kinda moving toward Ford Escort Station wagon.. just becuase they last forever.. I need a spare car.. so I can justify it.. and really.. I will be lucky to have it to have for fun..and I outta be able to maintain it.. a vintage car I might not .. not sure.. I am looking at a 79 oldsmobile station wagon.. but they want $2000 for it.. and that might be just too much.. but its runs like a top… white too..
 Is that hearse still for sale
Can you get any pictures
Ecto1a…damn…
