C-list ghosts!.

I didn’t want to hijack the “Ghost Archive” thread, which is wonderful (lots of stuff I’d forgotten and some I must have missed altogether!) so I’m posting this on its own, if that’s alright. I think it’s a different subject, since it comes with a few inquiries.

All my favorite ghosts in the show were so minor they were never even named, and I always wanted to devote a webpage to this sort of thing but only acquired the means a few days ago. I wound up doing several pages, and plan to add more:

Contributions by Joeghostbuster and Ectofiend for the “stock ghosts” guide, the rest are my own screen grabs but not entirely great quality.

What, would you say, are the most interesting ghosts to have gotten the smallest roles?

Of all the episodes to feature massive swarms of ghosts, which was the most enjoyable?

Feel encouraged to suggest additions to the article and episodes I should check out next

Some of my all-time favorites:

Banana!

What!!?

Always wished this was a mini-ghost in the toy line. I did an article on those, too: minighosts

Do they talk much about this sort of thing in the DVD documentary? The one about Everett Peck?

Actually, that last ghost you posted WAS made as a toy. Albeit only in one color (a teal/blue-green shade), but he indeed came with the Street Sweeper vehicle.

It’s actually just very, very similar:

I guess it’s close enough, though. Closer than nearly any other came to being in both toy line and toon

Man, I LOVED the plastic pack-in ghosts all the RGB toys came with. I think my favorite is that yellow one that came with the first Egon figure that fit over his head…probably because it was the first one I lost. I hope we get to see something similar with the new RGB figures on the way, I imagine they would be able to make much cooler looking semi-translucent ghosts now. Now, if they happened to be based on random spooks from the cartoon…that would just be ectoplasmic icing on the cake.

Just about EVERY ONE from “Spirit of Aunt Lois”

Especially the potato guy.

*Actually - “Bug-Eye” made at least two cameos in the cartoon [Don’t remember what the exact eps were], and you could kinda technically count “Bad To The Bone” if you want ;-):

*And let’s not forget about this little orange dude:

*He was on ALOT of the old merch, including the original “Ghost Zapper” reel for that particular projector toy ;-)…

*Cheers.

Anyone remember which episodes have scenes inside the containment unit? I know there’s X-mas marks the spot and Sticky Business, but I know there was also a couple more. At least one more with Slimer, too.

Keep an eye on my Ghost Archive thread, I’m putting them all up in there. Containment Unit pics will be up tomorrow. X-Mas Marks the Spot, Sticky Business, Partners in Slimer.

Someone on my forum has pointed out that Chomper Ghost (included with the first Winston Zeddmore figure) appears in the cartoon a few times;

One of the ecto plazm ghosts is in several as well, including the scene above.

Now I’m obsessed with finding a few more.

If someone can find out where Bug-eye ghost appears, I’d LOVE to know. I’ve scanned a bunch of eps with no luck so far, but more than one person remembers him showing up!

Haha, when I used to play with my figures, I would always pretend that the red ghost you posted was Mrs. Rogers’ bird from Mrs. Rogers’ Neighborhood!

Good times…

*“Bug Eye” from “The Halloween Door” [Appears two times]:

*I also included the sprite of him from the recent “Ghostbusters: Ghost Trap”, the mobile game by Vivendi Mobile…

*He also makes an appearance in “Citizen Ghost”:

*Cheers.

Wow, I’d even gotten that first Halloween Door shot as a screencap and it somehow didn’t register that it was Bugeye! LOL.

The sprite is really cool, if I had more than a minimalist cel phone I’d check that game out, how many ghosts are in it?

*I think this will answer your question ;-):

*And an extra sheet, as some of the stuff on this one they forgot on the “master” one:

*Cheers.

*P.s. - There’s an emulator you can play the .“jar” game file on:

Cool! That orange ghost looks like Scream Roller.

*As an aside - These two always reminded me of the “Grabber Ghost” that came with the first series Peter:

*Cheers.

*From the episode “When Halloween Was Forever” - “Sludge Bucket” anyone? ;-):

*Cheers.

Heya, Scythemantis!

Nothing can beat the boonana

That’s an awesome name for that ghost! I’ll have to remember him.
