I just wanted to post this online as I saw it this morning and was shocked. There is a guy named Bryan Scott posing as a Ghostbuster, Star Wars characters, and many other cosplay in Louisville, Ky. He also has been in Southern Ky, Indiana, Chicago, Texas, and as far south as Florida.
He is a registered sex offender posing with kids with fake names and he should not be. I saw an article online and also saw this post in GFans:
As a new member to the GB field, I am truly disgusted. Luckily from what I have heard from other GB’s in Ky such as the WKY Ghostbusters and the Louisville Ghostbusters, people do know the difference from him and they are known not to be associated with this sick person. It is sad things like this can tarnish or hurt a great community I just discovered.
He is posing as River City Ghostbusters and I came upon his name on twitter when online this morning.
Doing some research on my end since I am also a parent figure, I wanted to make sure everything is covered for my children so I can warn other parents in my area and let them know he isn’t assoicated with any other GB in the area such as the WKY or Louisville GB’s.
No kidding.. this guy has been a thorn in the GB community for a few years now.
He often uses fake aliases, wears sun glasses everywhere, and won’t use his own name on his GB suit.. so he tries to stay incognito. Just keep an eye out for the Ecto-1B with KY plates.
We’re getting tired of every news station / reporter / detective in a 200 mile radius calling us up whenever he gets arrested or shows up somewhere.
I do want to point out that he will be at fandom fest next week or the car will be and it says courtesy of the Louisville ghostbusters. I don’t know if they bought the car which I wouldn’t know why or if he just said it’s by association just to make them look bad. His gb name is tex is what he usually goes by. I can’t believe this guy is still doing this shit. I remember last year he showed up at an event in Chicago unannounced. Luckily through the Midwestern GB Coalition we managed to get some of the guys in the 501st Legion at the event to block off access to him and his car. He’s shown up to school events as well. It’s disgusting. He should be locked up.
Guys, has anyone thought of contacting law enforcement to attend as soon as he attends these events? I mean I dont wanna poke the bear but if the guy is a registered ■■■ offender, there has to be certain conditions to his release. I dunno, Im spitballing here and would rather everyone be safe and shit and keep this sick ■■■■■■■ away from both our beloved franchise and our children.
I called Kentucky law enforcement to question his status and if he was allowed to leave the state. I told them the situation and I was told “we don’t know , that office is closed till Monday”
As per the Kentucky ■■■ Offender Registry. Supervised release.
That being said, I don’t think there is much else I can do from here without getting myself into shit. Perhaps I will make an inquiry to another friend.
