Hey guys I just picked up another run of these excellent 3 watt amps. I needed to get some for some voice amplifiers for other projects so I thought I would buy a few extra since I know a few people were still looking.
So these are a 3 Watt amp, that run off a 12 volt battery source. They are super simple to hook up and im putting them up here for those that want an amp and dont wanna pay the 39.90 for a canakit 7w amp. This needs no preamp and makes a huge difference on the decibels your pack will put out compared to without an amp.
They have a mounting plate, aux cord for if you wanna hook your phone or Ipod into it. About 3 feet of cord, solderless connector points for speaker and power source and a potentiometer for adjusting your volume. If you want to hook this into your pack sounds instead of the aux port just split the wires and feed it straight in.
The video will give you an idea of how loud the amp can run (although mine isnt turned all the way up) I apologize for the quality of the vid, I took it on my phone. I’ve also had the same (to my ears) level of volume with a supposed 7 watt kit as I did with a 20 watt kit. The thing about those specs is that they don’t all base their “measurements” on the same factors. Just food for thought.
well I am sure there are many factors at play here. Like Vincezo said for 1, also I have a speaker in the front of my pack in the N-filter. Plus how my phone picks it up and how loud your speakers are on your computer etc…etc…
However, I always shut my pack off from the main power switch and then hit the off switch on my gun for the power down so that you dont have to hear it, cause I live in a duplex with the landlord below me and I feel the need to apologize every time cause it is freakin loud!
