after being pretty unimpressed with the look (and the price) of the diamond select firehouse sign, I was looking at my no ghost logo bank and actually think it could make quite a good alternative, I tested by putting a torch inside and the effect isn’t too bad.
if we put some electronics in and some bright lights inside and added amount, it could create a reasonably accurate firehouse sign on the cheap? the size is a slight issue but there again the diamond select one isn’t accurate anyway.
what does everyone else think? has any one tried already?

I would probably buy one of yours or someone else’s. It doesn’t even have to be painted, just a vacuformed shell would be enough and I’d buy it.
I’m pretty sure I saw a thread recently about someone who did this very same thing. I think it was the guy who made a GB themed room…

Hey joeghostbuster. What about that Rubies sign you found awhile back? Could you light that up?
I dont know if I’d bother trying to light it up, it’s kind of ugly, and I bought it for my nephew for his clubhouse. if I was making one for myself I’d probably try to get it 3/4 or 1:1 scale, make a large box using plexiglass or something, give it a coat of white and put a big decal on both sides.
