Chris Evans Offered Captain America?

I think I could handle that. Better then Channing Totempole.

I have no objection to him playing the role, although it’ll still clash a little with him having played Johnny Storm, even if it’s now gonna get rebooted.

I know its a bad comparison but Harrison Ford was Solo and Indy.

That has absolutely no workable comparison to Evans.

Those were two separate universes. Although distanced, it can still be argued that the eventual Avengers movie could take place in the same universe as the two Fantastic 4 movies.

no. there’s a starwars tales story where the falcon crash landed on earth, and chewbacca was rumored to be the bigfoot. indy found the relic of the falcon and solved the case of the bigfoot.

and fantastic 4 didnt happen. chris evans is alright, im not totally familiar with him. and i agree, beats channing tatum and that sam “every movie i do is in front of a blue screen” worthington guy.

May not be the same universe but its the same creative minds to some degree. Anyways, Like I said bad comparison.

If Evans can pull off a 1940’s skin, then goodo.

So now its official.

There’s only 1 “problem” I have with this, and even still it’s nothing. Evans played J. Storm, the Human Torch, in F4. But if they’re going to reboot then problem solved. Because down the road there’s talks of not just the Avengers movie(s) but also CIVIL WAR movies. Which would be ****ing epic. Some of the story does include Storm and it’d just been weird to have both Cap’n and Torch be the same dude.

But again if they’re rebooting F4 like it never happened, which they should, then probably not even an issue at all. Otherwise honestly I don’t see him as a bad choice, actually he’s a decent actor and I think he’ll do well.

A Civil War movie won’t be epic. Quesda’s madness should not be plastered up onto the silver screen.

i dont know if anyone else noticed but i havent seen marvel do anything since 1991. it completely wiped itself off the map for 19 years. strange.

Chris Evans is a D-bag, just a frat boy trying to show off. The only movie where he didn’t act like a frat boy was “Sunshine” where he played a emo depressed kid. And he even admitted he was nervous about the part. Even Sam Jackson subscribed to The Nick Fury comics to get familiarized with his role in Iron Man 1 and 2. Captain America won’t be a hit, mainly due to it’s lack of main stream popularity. The actor playing Red Skull will top Evans. Want to know where I hear this? www.slackerandtheman.com episodes 117 and 118.

Guess we have to wait and see.

With having added that link at the end, that sounds more like you’re parrotting someone else’s opinion rather than your own.

I’m more than happy to give him the benefit of the doubt because there’s plenty of examples of actors shining beyond the roles they’re previously well known for, Robin Williams and Jim Carrey are two prime examples.

Dude, calm down! Aren’t you supposed to be on vacation or something?

A) Marvel made Nick Fury into Sam Jackson, not the other way around. Marvel has been modifying numerous characters to make them resemble famous people for years. Hear of the talk that Deadpool will be played by Ryan Reynolds? That’s because the writers at Marvel years ago made Deadpool say, in the comic, that he looks like Ryan Reynolds (among other things, due to blah blah too long to get into).

  1. Watched IM2. Sam Jackson is not acting a special role. He is acting like Sam Jackson. Ever see one of his movies? Deep Blue Sea? Pulp Fiction? Black Snake Moan? Shaft? Yea. That’s what he acted like. I know, I’m shocked! But that’s how he acts in movies. He didn’t do anything special or out of the ordinary, he acted like Sam Jackson. He didn’t familiarize himself with the character, that’s what actors say all the time to appease the fan base and quiet them up.

Well, I’m glad I skipped debate club in high school.

I can’t, I keep turning my laptop back on. I’m waiting for an email from admissions.

Have you guys checked online for the costume sketches over at aintitcool.com ?

All I know is that the director has this to say about the movie:

I guess he missed the part about it being called CAPTAIN AMERICA.
