I donât know what to think. With how great âIron Manâ has been, Iâm impressed with Marvel. Then you think about Spider-Man 3, Fantastic Four⌠the Punisher⌠the it makes you go⌠Hmmm⌠I feel theyâve miscast Captain America as well. These are men, not boys. Chris Evans is not Captain America. They shouldâve cast Aaron Eckhardt or something like that. He looks the part AND heâs a good actor.
I was pulling for Mark Valley myself. But I heard that Evans didnât do too bad in the Losers though.
You never really know how these things will go. I look at that picture of Thor and I have trouble seeing George Kirk(Star Trek being the only other thing Iâve seen Chris Helmsworth in) in there anywhere.
Have to remember that Marvel have had the same thoughts about those movies too. Hence creating Marvel Studios. Most new Marvel movies, Marvel has a much better grasp of the movie making. The three you listed are terrible movies, cause the studios behind them, imo have no clue. And they keep making them so they can keep hold of the rights, and make money off the shitty sequels.
I am skeptical about Chris Evans being cast as Cap. From the resent interveiws with Evans that I have seen, he is a wanker with not a great deal of knowledge about the character, But⌠It is easy days. So as always final judgement is in the cinema.
Not a bad movie at all. Little bit of no shirt action.
Ouch, man. The criticism of Spider-Man 3 is valid as it was a dissappointment compared to the other two⌠but the first Punisher movie was pretty good, surely leaps, bounds and a million bullet casings better than âWar Zoneâ⌠and Fantastic Four was pretty good (in their case I say blame the source material, the Fantastic Four has always been one of Marvelâs weakest titles/properties).
Maybe I was a little too harsh. So I will rehash and say terrible âlooselyâ It was a rushed post as the pub was calling

To be honest I love the Thomas Jane Punisher, I thought it was great. I guess my first thought was the WarZone film when talking about those three films.

as much as ive grown to despise Marvel comics, how could anyone not be interested to see what Kenneth Branagh does with a comic book movie? Especially Thor, who I never thought could make it in his own stand-alone film.
Definitely⌠this is going to be all sorts of interesting. Iâm definitely liking the costume theyâve gone with in that promo photo.
I donât know what is worse, that film or âSteelâ starring Shaq⌠and both are in my collection.
In fact one of the only awful superhero movies that ISNâT in my collection is Captain America. The rest are made-for-TV which were never officially released, but I have seen most of them (e.g. The Hoff as Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.E.I.L.D.)
Although looking at the photo, I bet being in that suit of armour all day might make him a thor Although Iâm glad they gave him a beard, man him up a little bit.
Thank God someone clarified the punisher matter. âThe Punisherâ with Thomas Jane was a great movie, âWar Zoneâ should never have been made.
I actually felt the opposite. I think the Punisher wouldâve made for a better movie as a happy medium between the two. What I hated about the first one was made up for in the 2nd film. I also canât stand Travolta as a villain. For me, I rarely buy into him on screen.
The trailer told me all I needed to know about War Zone.

I heard there was an extended cut of the 1st (Tom Jane) version. I might like it better after having seen it⌠although, as I said, Travolta just doesnât work for me.
Entertainment Tonight just had a set visit video recently. I just found it on Superherohype.com.
It was mostly an interview with Natalie Portman and Chris Helmsworth but there were a few new tidbits on there. You get your first look at Anthony Hopkins as Odin and a shot of Heimdall I belive.
It definitely has my interest peaked.
