Guys this is not the big announcement, falling for this as the big announcement would be foolish. Since there’s more to come and see tomorrow at the Comic Con on various Ghostbusters Topics, this is ONLY just a Piece of the Cake. The Cake(GB3 CGI) has not been revealed yet until Tomorrow or Saturday. Stay Tuned…

you would think that after the game was announced, we would have heard the last of this talk of GB3. So to say what others will say…There is not going to be another movie. The game is being classified as the 3rd movie…let go of this dream…it will be easier then having to go the therapy when you realize there will never be a 3rd movie.
Never say never. While it’s obviously not in the works now, depending on what all of these new releases do money wise, it might actually happen someday.

You probably don’t realize it but there are legal and other more pain-in-the-ass complications with getting music only tracks - and that’s assuming that they all still exist!
Music and Effects audio tracks are created for just about every series, as it allows the series to have dialogue redubbed in different languages, while still keeping the same music and sound effects throughout. The flip side of the coin are audio tracks that are just the voices, without the music and sound effects (and one of those exists in RGB fan circles).
Be very glad that we’re getting these Music and Effects audio tracks, as we could be getting much worse - NOTHING!
I wasn’t complaining, Paul. Just lamenting what I don’t think was attainable. Levy didn’t even have the music, so it was a good bet that it was gone.
Wonder if that includes the full version of the “John Smith” (How I’d love to know the guy’s real name, assuming that’s a false one) GB theme cover.
Although, some clever people may be able to edit together the songs from various episodes where the SFX don’t intrude. It’d be an interesting exercise.

Yeah right. Sony can’t afford TV commercials and in-theater teasers, youtube is the only way out.
I think Ghostbusters 3 talk should be outright banned on the Forum for 6 months to get the sour taste of Patrick & Co. out of our mouths.
Agreed. GB3 isn’t going to go anywhere for the moment, if even ever again. With Dan saying the game IS GB3, I think the talk should just be over with until we hear something definitively different. Which wouldn’t be until after the game is a success.

today I was hanging out at the Ghostbusters Game area, and I got the chance to chat it up with the dude who talked about the demo walkthru on G4 during E3 about 2 weeks ago.
Anyways, he informed me that the GB panel with Ackroyd and Hudson was NOT happening because of scheduling conflicts.
I have yet to see anything updated on the Comic-Con site, but I will still check tomorrow and ask if its still happening.
Yeah, im pretty upset about it, but still hoping something will still happen!
AJ, I’ve been involved in this set for a long, long time. I was given the information to post on the site, I didn’t “jump the gun,” and everything I posted was cleared with Time Life. Please don’t lead people to believe I did something I wasn’t supposed to do.

It is kind of a shame that the news of this got leaked a while back. If it hadn’t, this would have been HUGE news. It would have been worthy of the months and months of hype. I’m assuming this was the big announcement, but there is still time in the con, so maybe there is something else.
Still, either way, this is AWESOME! This is what we have all been waiting to see for a long time! This sounds so great! A definite must buy. If we weren’t all such huge Ghostbusters fans, we wouldn’t have known about this already and it would have been a big surprise. LOL! In this day and age, with the Internet, it doesn’t suprise me that we’d know already about the big announcement before we even knew what it was. It’s still really exciting.
Guys, quit the complaining. For crying out loud, everyone act your age. :sigh:
The timing of the announcement has absolutely no bearing on the fact that we’re going to be getting an off-the-wall SPECTACULAR set of RGB dvds. Just look at the list of features, the depth of episodes; this is an exceptional package, one that many of us have been waiting on for a looooooong time.
I, for one, am growing weary of the fanboyish “moans of the day,” be it for the timing of announcements, the lack of CGI GB3, whatever. We should all be thrilled with what’s going on right now; please, don’t depress everyone here with the “glass is half empty” attitude.
It’s a damn good time to be a ghosthead.
