Could Someone Explain These Odd Things I've Seen

I’ve seen two things recently that I think need explaination.

First on Amazon.com I was searching and there is a new listing I never saw before titled “Ghostbusters, Book 2” by Sholly Fisch that is due out Feb 7, 2007. I know Amazon can screw things up a bit but I thought there wouldn’t be any more books after IBooks went bust.

Second is this picture I found this morning on the CartoonNetwork.com home page:

Is it just me or does that look like the RGB firehouse with the filmation ghosbusters’ logo on top? I tried a search at their site for ghostbusters and got nothing. Is one of their networks going to start showing one of the shows or am I just going crazy again?

  1. Amazon did screw it up, Ibooks won’t be releasing any more books; they weren’t gonna even before the bankruptsy.

That is an interesting picture. I didn’t watch Filmation’s Ghostbusters all that much, but if I remember correctly, their headquarters looked more like a haunted house.

Thanks for the pictures. I used to watch the filmation ghostbusters way back when but forgot most of the details. I figured it was just a coincidence.

Thanks for the book info too, I thought it might be too good to be true.

Here’s another question that maybe someone can answer. I recently saw some trivia that said there was a scarier puppet of the librarian ghost that wasn’t used in the first Ghostbusters but was used in the film Fright Night. Does anyone have some screen caps or pictures of this scarier model?

Boomerang Channel by Cartoon Network shows nothing but old or no longer produced cartoons. Perhaps if enougth suggested it they show The Real Ghostbusters or Extreme Ghostbusters.

And oddly enough while I was googling pics , I ran across the Cartoon Network site , it is up on there.. I hope the re run the show!

That’s a vampire from the 1985 movie Fright Night. Good movie, but completely unrelated to Ghostbusters.

I don’t know of how much of a reliable source this is but someone I work with’s inlaw is a producer who worked on the RGB cartoon I verified the name with the credits so it was there and he told me that they were looking to make a new gb cartoon but they haven’t been able to do anythnig gb because it is stuck in some sort of legal litigation. Now I don’t know if that applies to the movies or just the cartoons but it would be really cool to see again. :smiley:

Everything I’ve ever said about ghostbusters 3 also applies to a new cartoon…

I do think it would be easier though, to make a successful cartoon, rather than a new movie.
