Countdown to Ghostbusters Infestation...

10 days…

I’m nervously looking forward to the debut, and hoping you guys dig it.

I already dig it so much, I have a shovel ready.

… :walterpeck:

I noticed a reference to Ghostbusters: The Video Game in one preview article so I’m already stoked to read it.

Question: Are all the Infestation stories linked together, or are they completely seperate “what if zombies were in this reality?” independant of each other? In other words, if I don’t read the others will I be lost when I read the Ghostbusters’ story?

I wanted to buy every issue of Infestation. I got the first one with the special vampire team setting up the story and had the owner of the local comic book store order me issues 2, 3 and 4 but he never got them. where online can I buy this series, anyone know?

Excluding the Zombies Vs Robots universe, none of the four other universes interact with each other (no Ghostbusters interacting with COBRA, or Transformers bumping into Captain Kirk). The four universes the virus spread into are self contained stories.

You needn’t pick up Transformers: Infestation, Star Trek: Infestation or G.I.Joe: Infestation to know the story, just Ghostbusters: Infestation and the book-ending issues of Infestation.

I’m looking forward to it, Mr. Burnham, although I hope it’s more like the Star Trek tie-in, rather than the Transformers one, which I found a bit disappointing in terms of story (two issues was not enough to tell the story of the Autobots and Decepticons fighting the zombie virus and the other troubles that cropped up…) I also felt that Britt’s “hidden in plain sight” thing to be Deus Ex Machina… I can accept her pretending to be human, but being a Transformer was a bit of a stretch that I just couldn’t buy. The concept deserves credit for creativity, but the execution was lacking.

I would argue that you might not even need the actual book ends, if you just want the GB books. It does set up the Covert Vampiric Operations side of things, but I suspect if you just want to read the core story revolving around the Ghostbusters you wouldn’t need to get anything other than the GB book.

Looking forward to this book… dug the A-Team and love Hotz!

i would argue, that you need to get your hands on zombies vs robots (and keep reading it) and thank idw and me later.

This is true. Mainly because it is fucking rad. To a lesser extent because you’ll be able to get in now before Sony makes the movie and you can brag to people that you read it before way before it was “huge”.

Im excited about this! Haven’t really been into comics in a while, but this sounds like a lot of fun!

It’s a great read and equally cool art throughout! I highly recommend everyone pick up a copy on the 9th!!! Kudos to Erik, Kyle, John, Tom and the rest of IDW

Look at that, an endorsement! (;

Thanks, Dan!

Six more days, everybody…

Do any of you have an idea if the whole infestation story, through all universes, will be a trade paperback once the story concludes?

Well, Amazon has one listed so I’ll go ahead and say yes. (:

Rather, I saw a “volume one” collecting Transformers and GI Joe. So we’ll assume there’s a v.2 coming as well with GB, though I haven’t heard a 100% yes or no on it.

MTV Splash Page put up a preview with the first 5 pages it seems.

“Do Not Shoot at Peter’s Head!” Best line ever. It definitely felt like Burnham got the characters down pat.

I dont like Cover A with the “zombie” Stay Puft. but Ive been ordering these through my local comic shop and the last batch I got (Transformers 1, Star Trek 1, Transformers 2) all came with Cover B style so hopefully I’ll get cover B of the Ghostbusters 1 issue with all 4 guys on the front.

Couple of advance reviews in, and so far I’m feeling good!

Whens the comics going on sale?

Issue #1 releases tomorrow, March 9th. Issue #2 comes out on March 23rd.

Let me just say I LOVED GB:Infestation #1. This is by far some of the best writing I’ve seen out of IDW’s comic books yet.

The artwork I thought was superb, the zombies were gruesome and the character likenesses of the Ghostbusters were as close as legally possible.

Janine’s scene was well done too.

All in all I loved this book and anxiously await #2.

And I love the explanation of how

Stay Puft was released from the containment unit

bollocks! I went to my comic shop and he said his shipment from NY was delayed a day because of the weather. I’m hoping I can get Star Trek #2, GI Joe #1 and Ghostbusters #1 tomorrow.
