So between the fact that I love doing custom stuff and seeing things like the custom BFT made out of the Nerf Vulcan, I had the idea of doing a BFT with its own custom Proton Pack. I am still in the planning stages right now but I wanted to post the idea first.
What I want to do is get a RGB Partical Thrower and, using all the pieces but the handle, add them too the Nerf Vulcan along with other stickers/LED’s/and sound effects so I end up with the original Vulcan barrel and the Partical Thrower barrel underneath so its a Dual Partical Thrower. I would also take the RGB Trap and attach it underneath the Vulcan so it could be launched on its own.
After thats finished, I want to take the RGB Proton Pack and put it on a motherboard. Then dremmel out different sections like the Cycletron and add LED’s. I know the RGB packs are smaller then the regular packs but, I intend to add other things around the RGB Pack, including a custom Cycltron underneath the first. Basically it will look like I took a Proton Pack and made it larger to compensate for the Dual Proton Beams coming from the Thrower and powering the Trap.
Thoughts?
I’ve made several customs myself. So, it has dual barrels? Are you taking an existing toy Kenner pack and remodeling it? Are you going to attach the mobo to an ALICE frame?
Yes, Kinda, and Yes. The original Kenner pack is gonna be put on a custom motherboard and then have a few extra things added too it, like an extra custom cycltron and then put on an alice frame for me to wear. I am going to take apart the Kenner partical thrower and add each part to the Nerf Vulcan except the handle, mainly adding the barrel underneath the Vulcan barrel so it has 2 and the control box on top.
Once I find some good pics of the Kenner toys I will do an MS paint mash-up to kinda show what I wanna do.
I might actually get the gun atleast done before the mash-up lmao, ms paint isnt really agreeing with me.
Ok, so I was able to get enough decent pics together (since the only thing I own right now is the Nerf Vulcan and the material for the motherboard) to do a mash up on MS paint:
Basically all the light green, dark red, and bright blue objects on the pack will be LED’s while the darker green oval pieces will be cylinders. I will also have the ribbon wire and other cables and such connecting things here and there along with the stickers for the regular Proton Pack. On the Nerf vulcan, you can see where I added the RGB Proton Thrower barrel and control box and how I plan on extending the Vulcan Barrel. Other then painting, stickers, and wiring I want to find a way to attach a Ghost Trap to this as well, kinda make myself a one man ghost hunting army you know?
