Need some ideas to make some easy washers? the biggest washers i can find locally are 2" O.D. x 1" I.D. Ive tried to cut them out of wood didnt work and foam core melts under paint. buying a big sheet of polystyrene is not an option. Any ideas or suggestions is appeciated. Thank you!
Hobby shop styrene …sold in small sheets at multiple thicknesses…
I live in a relatively small town, we only hve a hobby lobby, and according to their website they sell a cellfoam which is a form of polystyrene. Will this work?
You can use foam core if you seal the edges with a glue. Even elmers will work. I would recommend a hole saw and wood or plastic. If you cant find sheets of styrene then look for old for sale signs and things of the like. They are usually made of the same thing athough mostnewer ones seem to be made of a corrugated plastic.
I have some “washers” cut out of foam core already. I might just seal them and test that out. My budget build has been slacking on the budget part of it and the wife is starting to not be so supportive.
“For Sale” sign from the hardware store if you can’t find actual sheet styrene locally.
