Yeah that’s me. Thanks Busterchris…I enjoyed hanging out with you there. I was glad to see you made the video and got a nic epic with Dan too!

what did he said about Gb3 ?

I’m sad to see this on tmz, all the people who work for the show are morons.

Didn’t ask, prolly the same answer that he has been saying since number 2 was released

Yeh, it seemed like the tmz guys were making fun of GB fans.

Complete water damge to the paint job, seems there was some sort of substance like pollen or something of the sort on the shopping centers roof that has stained my pack. Some of it is coming off but otherwise I may have to strip it and repaint completley. Also missing several fins from the gearboxes, bolts from my HGA are missing, all but two of my labels are completely smudged and water damed, despite my percausions to make them water proof. All in all I have to take it apart and almost start from scratch. Thanks Dan. All in all, I just hope he has my DVD. I drove 5 hours in traffic tot ry and get it to him, stood in the rain, ruined my pack, only to be met with a rep. As long as the “rep” is legit then Dan should have my movie. In the mean time I’m out my most invested in “photon pack”.

Sorry to hear about the problems.

The packs are supposed to be weathered.. maybe work with the damage, rather then against it?

That jackass in the video is just jealous that Dan is diggin someone’s pack and is paying more attention to it than that TMZ ass.

lol probably.

It’s a bit lengthy, and this is really only fror the fan that REALLY gives a shit. This is a documentary, we did based on our trip, similar in fashion to brendon and co. of crossing the streams. Witness our jounrey to experience the aykroyd.

Race To Cockeysville: The Search For Aykroyd

If it needn’t be here feel free to move it fan videos or whatever is appropriate.

God, I hate it when people make Ghostbusters fans out to be nerds. Way to stereotype, you TMZ fucktard.

We are geeky, and I’m damned proud to be one of the Ghostbuster geeks!

Anything in excess is bad, but we IMHO do it in moderation.

Screw people who look down on us.. everyone else looks at us like heroes!

Well the truth is we ARE geeks. That doesn’t mean we can’t function in society, get laid, or have non geeky friends. I’m a super geek..have been for 33 years. The fact is that I don’t wear it on my sleeve..so the average person ..even co-workers, would never know…until they see me on TMZ lol. As for the event…if people perceived me as a geek it sure as hell wasn’t a negative. Between the numerous high fives, hundreds of pictures, 1,001 questions (all positive), and no shortage of “normal” attractive women who were over 50% of the people being in those pictures and asking those questions…I was well accepted. Then again…one thing this experience has taught me is that people LOVE Ghostbusters. Now dress up as Superman or worse yet some spikey haired Anime character…you’re getting ridiculed a LOT more.

p.s. That wasn’t a personal knock on Anime or cosplay people. Do what makes you happy. Life’s too short.

Basically when someone see somebody else dressing up like a movie character, knowing that they have hand built what ever it is they are wearing/holding they think its lame and geeky. Its them one minded u** (thats not F**k’s) that make the world a shit place to belong to.

Yeah, now that I think about it, that was just “one guy.” I probably overreacted- it still is a sore spot, but I’ll let it slide.

We are a lot more accepted, in my opinion, than the other fictional genres out there, and I’ll give you an example. My friend and I were at DragonCon awhile back, and we were on our way to put some stuff in my car. I parked about 6 or 7 blocks from the hotels that host DragonCon, so, as you can imagine, we are moving away from all the costumes and fanfare, and stepping back into the “real world.” Well, we passed a bar where all these drinking jocks were getting ready for the big game. They motioned for us to come over, and we had about a 20 minute chat with them about Ghostbusters, props, fan films, GB3, the Con, just about everything. They were blown away, and really enjoyed seeing the gear, and taking pictures with us, etc. They weren’t condescending in the slightest.

We continued on our way and were stopped about a block later by these two guys that run a CD store. And the type of music that was emanating from their store was rap, hip-hop, etc. They wanted to know everything about how we made the packs, propping, etc. Towards the end of the conversation (again, about 20 minutes), they had pretty much decided to go to next year’s Dragon*Con, and they asked progolfercd for suggestions for costumes, and he said “Pulp Fiction” or “Men in Black” (One of the owners was white & the other black.)

Anyway, just thought I would share. Glad you guys got to meet Dan. I’d like to meet him sometime myself. Guess I’ll keep my ears open for his Vodka tours, that seems the most likely bet.

I wouldn’t get too worked up about TMZ… it’s like getting worked up about a drowned, run over and dragged alley cat telling you that you’re ugly. Pot, kettle. Kettle, pot. They chase Megan Fox around when she goes to get a latte and WE’RE the fanatics? Hmm…

I don’t even know what TMZ is. haha.

im thinking of makin a video with me and my homies dissin tmz becuz not everY ghostbusters fan is a uber nerd. and then sending it to them. i have a pack and suit too and im one of snoop doggz pplz so wtf tmz talkin bout???

Bizarre?

No more bizarre than people dressing up in bathrobes and swinging around home-made light sabers at Star Wars conventions…

At least all of us are properly clothed…
