On March 27th I went to Binny’s Beverage Depot in Chicago. I stood in line for 3 hours but was 9th in line. By the time Dan showed up there were about 400 people lined up to see him: included 2 people wearing proton packs, one with uniform, one without, one guy in front of me wearing an Elwood suit. When he finally arrived he was doing an interview while signing crystal head vodka bottles and shaking hands. He also signed a few pieces of memorabilia and I got to shake his hand. I was nervously shaking but told him i couldnt wait for Ghostbusters TVG and he said “yeah, watch out for that!!”. It was AWESOME that I actually got to meet Ray Stantz and also made a few friends along the way. It was a great day!
I can’t believe I missed him! I saw him being interviewed at the Blackhawks game, and I couldn’t believe I didn’t know. What Binny’s was he at? Is there a site with his appearances listed?
Congrats dude, that has to be cool. I got to meet and talk to Harold Ramis when he came into my movie theater in Glenview. It was the highlight of year, lol.
Haha, I was one of the guys with the proton pack, just letting you know, I was in uniform, mines just a little different, instead of a flight suit I have an army jacket with no ghost patch on the arm and black no ghost logo t-shirt underneath. He was a great guy, signed my proton pack too, I of course asked if he could give the fans any new news about GB3 and he didnt say much other then the stuff we already know, he did mention possibly filming by October/November. I’ll post a pic of him signing my pack when I get the film developed.
I believe he’s trying to keep most locations unadvertised until the day before or the day of. Most people seem to be finding out from the radio or news broadcasts.
Holy crap!! My friends just sent me a video from NBC about Dan being in Chicago promoting Crystal Head Vodka and Im in it along with some other friends. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhCiAjO9XbI
