So I asked Dan Schoening via Twitter who he’d cast as the new recruits in a live-action movie based on the (now cancelled) IDW monthly series. Here were his choices:
Sarah Hyland as Kylie Griffin
Paz Vega as Melanie Ortiz
Ryan Reynolds as Ron Alexander
Of course, he said he’d go with the original cast for the classic Ghostbusters and because of that the story would have to be re-jigged to exclude Egon. :sigh:

Hmm not a bad set of choices. I know Tristan Jones said his version of Kylie was influenced by Daisy Lowe. Its kinda weird that Kylie is back in the spotlight that we’ve considered more modern actresses to play her.
I had no idea that Sarah Hyland was 25. She looks about 16.

Pretty cool choices. Aubrey Plaza for Kylie and Maya Rudolph for Ortiz would be good also, Ryan is spot on too.
