No, it has not been green lighted for production yet. He was saying there is no production number yet, but they do have a script.

A production number is an official number the studio gives to a movie, basicly it says that the movie will go forward and be made.
As for Bill, it’s speculation. He could be playing with everyone, or he could legitimately have not seen the most recent form of the script…or like someone else stated, he could be talking about a finished, official script.
there is a recent article where Murray says “some of it is good”. I think they waited until EVERYONE else liked it, since Murray is the most opposed to a third film.

I interpret Dan and Bill’s recent comments as bringing everyone back down to reality and even if there is a script, it’s all still just talk and far from happening. Not necessarily being “anti-GB3” just sounds like they’re trying to make everyone understand that there is a process involved in thinking about getting a movie made.
Good to see Dan the number one GB3 cheerleader saying this. 
agreed! seems like that this time the GB3 making is more serious than ever if everybody are so quiet and “down to reality”. they are seriously considering to make it.
I’ve always heard 1999… has it been confirmed that Aykroyd or Ramis wrote a script/treatment before HELLBENT?

I love his line about sticking the pump into the mega corporation and drawing the honey. Reminds me of his ‘10 meter cattle prod’ and ‘frog on a hotplate’ lines from the movies.
I asked Ernie if there was a chance the video game would get a sequel soon, and he was trying to tell me that ‘they where going to start shooting Ghostbusters 3’ almost as if he had a date ready, but his assistant kept interrupting him, and I didn’t want to bother him much :)…
