Dark Jedi's second pack

Over thanks giving break I decided to build a new proton pack to replace the styrofoam one I sold earlier. I decided to go with wood this time so that I would get a smoother finish and more room for electronos. I am very happy with the result.

Wow that looks great.I noticed that you used a soda cap and a dowel for your crank knob.I have a casting of a real crank kob if you are interested in it.All you would have to do is pay for shipping which wouldn’t be much.It needs some work done to it,the mold i used had some imperfections in it,so it needs to be sanded and filled with bondo in a few places. But if you want it,I’d be glad to give it to ya for shipping costs.

The pack looks amazing man,I’m actually gonna attempt to build another pack.My last pack was a vac shell pack, and the pack before that one I build myself and it turned out horrible, but now that I have some experience in building props,I’m gonna try again.

Sorry but I’m going to pass since I need to make sure I can build 3 more of these for halloween without needing specialty parts. good luck on your pack though.

Oh no problem on the crank knob.Just figured I offer it to ya.

What type of wood did you use?I’m thinking of using MDF board on my next pack.I learned my lesson on using plywood,it gets real heavy.

.25" balsa

.125" basswood

.125" plywood (sycronous generator)

How heavy is yours?I know my scratch built pack wound up weighin in at 30 lbs.

I felt it the next day after wearing. That pack is now being used my best friend and co-buster.

That’s a really nice pack though. What did you use for the lights?

lights were found at a truck stop in my home town. The pack isn’t exactly light, but compared to my schoolbag it is (I didn’t put it on a scale yet)

I love the new pack D J

Neato! Nice jorb!

Some one sent me a pm about an N filter. It is an important part, but I have no idea how to attache it to my pack since the only way to reach the electronics is to take the bumper off and lift the pie plate from the sycrounous genteratior. any suggestions?
