Hello. I was curious as who to contact about purchasing a quality shell for my first ghostbusters build ?
Haven’t seen too many posting for pack shells lately. Seems like it’s dialing back. If you look through the builds maybe you can find a particular shell you like and see if it’s still available. can get pricy if you have to ship over seas. My thoughts is the gbfans shop may not always be the cheapest or the best, but it’s usually the safest. Decent price decent product. Supposedly the anovos pack is going to be released before the end of summer. Could wait to see reviews on that, but I’m pretty sure that’s going to get postpone again
With that regards . What’s your take on the ABS plastic version for quality wise . Should I layer it with fiber glass? I was offered a fiberglass over for $150 And $30 shippi g
Depends on where they are coming from. Fiberglass and/or resin shells are usually the easiest to work. I personally have no experience with a ABS shell, so I can’t speak to how well they are made, but you don’t see them very often. The least expensive option would be the vacuuformed Studio Creations shell. I’ve used the GBFans shell twice and have been very happy with both of them. I’d shy away from pack shells from eBay.
Would you know any sellers on her other than gbfans? I was also looking at Bob of Kent props. They have a solid sale going on
Not too many sellers on here that do Shells anymore. Nick-a-Tron has his own site you can get a shell from and they are top quality. Ben of Kent, as far as I know, does good work. But never worked with him personally.
