So dfak2009 and I have been tossing around some custom ideas, and he commissioned me to do 2 custom Ghostbusters versions of himself. He sent me some pics, some Venkmans and some ideas.

Then there was a lot of playing around with the stubble to get the right look. Ignore these eyebrows:
Dermot decided he wanted a little darker/fuller stubble, and so that’s when this head was decided upon:
There’s still work to be done and updates to post, but we wanted to get the thread started to get some community feedback!
You can spot most of the differences in that mashed up picture.I added the appropriate wires, labels and other changes where I could, and added magnets to the pack/Dermot’s back so the pack is detachable. Next update will be an accurate belt!
Belt is complete, (based on the pics, I just realized I forgot to put decals on the trap/wand).
The belt has the PKE holster with “dummy” closed PKE, gray Motorola walkie, your specific belt gizmo/circuitboard, keychains and trap. Here’s some tasteful waistline pics from the latest photo-shoot:
The dummy PKE can be removed, and the figure can hold the open one. The trap is magnetic, so it can be removed and held by the figure (I made the handle wider than the normal Mattel one, since it’s too thin to be held). The trap is a little smaller than the Mattel one, so it’s not super-huge on the belt.
For the pack I added more decals, the blue wire on the top, knob and yellow wire on the left side, extra red wire running across the center into the upper right plug, painted the random gray knob black, and fixed Matty’s semi-■■■■■■ paint slop. The thrower has a thinner red wire, extended clear tube on the end, colored knobs + lights, and the green wire near the handle. If there’s anything I’m missing, you want changed/added, just let me know!
Oh, I haven’t forgotten about him…once the final touch-up is done on the regular version, it’s full steam ahead on the RGB version.
Thanks for the kind words guys. Tyger Cheex, I had actually tried to sculpt a little PKE holster based on yours…it wasn’t happening!

Here’s a pic with weird lighting, but you can see the white seam on the bottom, where you can open it up to display him loose, or close it back up for packaged display. Just pull the seam down, and flip the front of the bubble out.
Dermot, I have def. lost all project files I had with the hard drive failure, so the RGB equipment is taking a little longer than I had hoped. I’ll keep you posted/have pics soon.
this project has inspired me to make my own custom figure of myself, using the original Marcus head from my Rookie project figure. I even carved a bald spot into the back of his head lol
