Disliked things about GB:tVG

Some of the ones I’ve found, are

  1. Vigo’s painting- Shouldn’t it be a painting of the busters as seen in the end of GB II? WTF?!

  2. Of course, the lights on the proton pack… all the many, many, many unnecesary lights

  3. The rook is a kid (at least younger), and Dr. Stantz has said that he doesn’t want a kid using a proton pack “They’re not toys” (was that Egon or Ray?.. shoot… Can’t remember)

  4. the HUGE screen on the PKE meter

  5. NO LOUIS!!! grrrrr (at least we get to see his work-station!)

  6. that parade baloon-dog thing looked like something you battle in the trailer

  7. You never get to drive the ecto-1

  8. In the cemetary, you run around for 5-10 minutes trying to get to the switch for the gate, and then Ray just hops the fence?! All that work… wasted… :sigh:

… I’m kinda tired at the moment, so it appears I’m unable to think of any more. :whatever:

Although not explained in the game, the popular explanation is that it was reverted by the PKE shockwave we see after Ilyssa leaves the Museum.

Some were superfluous, others served as the HUD for the game.

The Rookie is at least in his early 30s, as that’s roughly the age range of the person he was modeled from, Ryan French.

-was added in order to present a full-screen pause menu.

-which was a relief because Louis Tully and Dana Barrett are not integral parts of the Ghostbusters universe.

I’m not even sure what you mean here.

Would’ve probably required a lot more programming, and large street levels.

It wasn’t wasted, he could only hop the fence after you’d gotten there, and it was a bit of humor for the plot.

  1. It’s a new design for the PKE meter.

  2. Rick Moranis is retired.

  3. The parade level was cut.

  4. PC got shafted.

Things I disliked about the GB:TVG

Serious

  1. Couldn’t customize my rookie (although I completely understand why that was left out)

  2. Lack of Gozer Temple/Manhatten Museum of Art maps in multiplayer (especially after seeing the Gozer temple mock up image)

Not So Serious

  1. It ended

  2. Only one of my friends owns it

  3. No X360 theme

It seems I had a lot funnier “not so serious” complaints but the second I stepped away from the computer I forgot them all. When I figure them out I’ll be sure to let you all know.

STONE ANGELS

-The Rookie

-No editing of the rookie’s appearance

-No offline challenge maps, etc…no nothing offline aside from story mode for more replay value, where you can actually play as one of the GB (then I wouldnt mind the rookie so much)

-Too short

-Some DLC would have been nice to keep the momentum/interest going for the game. The quick downward spiral of the price for this game doesnt keep my hopes up for a 2nd. Maybe when the 3rd movie is released, but it will prob be revolved around the movie anyway…

The PC version barely works. No replay without losing subsequent levels, no multiplayer, no online, only one single player career at a time.

Agreed 100%. I’d also prefer a better multi-player experience. My roommate insisted I was doing the same exact thing everytime he saw me playing. More maps, challenges, and multi-player story mode (both off and online) would be nice.

“STOP WHINING” :eyeroll: :sigh:

Too short.

Too short…

And it’s too short…

Lack of customizations also.

~Not allowing a second, or even third, player option.

This is a game that my family and friends are swamping me to watch every time I try and sneak off to play, and I am starting to wish there was another player option for more fun.

~And of course, the cut parts.

~The Ghost Dimension was so wild, I wanted more there, and other spectral dimensions as well.

Oh, yeah, worst, it’s too short.

I’m still puzzled on how people say it’s too short.

Unless they also think that almost any other action game out there is too short. 8 hours is pretty average for non sandbox or rpg games.

It also depends on how much you play it. I stretched out the first Ninja Gaiden to a few months. It was so good, I didn’t want it to end.

yeah we saw how fun driving the car was on Nintendo lol Ben is right, probably a large part of programming would have to be devoted to streets and whatnot. I’m glad they focused on just busting ghosts honestly.

I’m pretty sure they addressed a lot of these. The fact that the story is tailored with you as a new recruit working with the guys pretty much means single player mode. Having to interact and work around the main guys who know everything and know what’s going on. I forget where but they talked about it, tossed around other ideas and said that felt the best for the game.

My only true complaint with the game was the lack of split screen on the HD versions.

Customizing the Rookie would have been fun, but it never detracted from the core game for me.

I would have liked more recognizable nyc locations. one of my favorite levels was times square, if not my favorite. and don’t get me wrong I love love love this game but it would have been cool revisit ms. liberty. more of a hopeful suggestion for a new one if done.

  1. The “rescuing” of all the Ghostbusters got old, especially when all 3-4 got knocked down at the same time.

  2. No Co-op

The one thing that still bothers me is the fact that they had to change the story line because of Sigourney Weaver. Ilyssa took her place and I feel that, as much as Dana isn’t necessarily needed, the role would be better suited for her. It would have explained a lot of things from the movies and potentially ended any sort of need for Dana. It would have shown why Dana had so many encounters with the supernatural (she was a descendant of Shandor).

It’s just a really big pet peeve of mine and I prefer imagining that Ilyssa is Dana. It just ties everything up for me… it’s unfortunate that Sigourney turned down the game until it was too late.

I dont remember hearing anything about weaver turning down the role. I dont even think they asked her.

i hated the boss at the end of the library level. seemed like it could defeat egon and ray easily. I also disliked “rescueing” the guys, when do they need a rookie to rescue them?

you know, looking a gift horse in the mouth will eventually catch up to you.

That is not a fact.
