My Wife and I were invited to a Halloween Party this past weekend. She was going to do one thing and I was going to do another…neither of our ideas panned out so we decided to be “Sims” characters. I chose to be from the Expansion Pack Ambitions and be a “Ghost Hunter”. I didn’t have a jumpsuit or any props for this but I did have a plan for a Dollar Store Neutrona Wand build that I’d been planning and had yet to put into motion. I only had a few hours and this included having to make labels for my shirt so I had to throw this together pretty quick. I think it came out pretty good and wanted to share.
It’s very reminiscent of the Wand that came with the Kennar Proton Pack, but with a few nods to the movie version. I may end up building a few more of these and put more time into them than the rush job this got but we’ll see how things go…it’s been at least 5 years since my last prop so don’t be too harsh.
The main body of the gun is a plastic jar I cut a circular hole into the top and bottom, into the top hole went a flash light (the reason I used the lid was so I can replace batteries easier), the front grip is a Slim Fast Bottle and a funky chrome piece I found laying around at work. The tip is a Turkey Injector. On the Sides of the body the side panel that comes out is a Razor Blade Cartridge and on either side is random bottle caps for the knobs. On top of the body is a cover to a cell phone I no longer have and a decal. I also added some A/V cable to the side just to give it some flair.
