Very nice work, are the caution bars permanent or are they removable?
The caution bars on the van are not perminant they are removable. If you go to your local home depot they sell caution tape which is what we used. It may peel the paint off of you car if it’s got a bad paint job on it.
So as long as the paint’s in good shape, it should be removable relatively easy? Cool, maybe I’ll put caution tape and a no ghost 2 logo on the stang instead of just one.. Though I would have more stuff to put on the small rack I’m building… Hm.. Meh, I’ll do a mix’n’match 
Yeah The caution tape I think really adds to an ecto if it’s not the exact one. and mix and maching is always good.
Yeah, mixing and matching would make it more custom. Ok guys, does anybody know of what type of speaker I can use, that’s outdoor, runs on 4 Ohm resistance (Can be used on a car stereo) And is small enough to fit inside a police lightbar, yet loud enough to be heard from a distance? Venkman71 said he uses something like that in the lightbar of his Ecto, and I want to use one in the lightbar of the Ectostang, once I get it.
ecto96, as far as attaching goes (i kinda skimmed the thread so im not sure what you are exactly doing), i have a personal warning light in my car (im an emt) and those come with some strong ass magnets so you can attach them to the roof of your car. maybe you could use a few of those so your roof rack is removable without making holes in your car.
That’s what I’m going to do, bolted to the feet of the rack will be some 4" magnets rated each at 95 lbs, I plan to use 6 of them, in addition a large suction cup or straps into the cab so it won’t slide during turns and starts and stops.

Ok you asked for better pics of the EctoStang’s new change and you got it. Keep in mind the fact that it was just dark enough so the sign would be seen lit, and light enough so the words would make out somewhat. Also, I used my webcam again, which doesn’t do so well… Oh well, here you go!
Hey guys, just giving you a headsup, the Ectostang got it’s first hazard light tonight, as well as it’s first insult XD! I put a single rotating amber light on top, a bubble, like the guys of NJ’s got. It’s just a temporary thing until I get my lightbar set up and my roof rack built, then I’ll buy colored lenses, put a red on it, and put it on top of the rack. Also, the insult was someone yelling peice of shit for no reason, but hey, we just pointed at him and laughed.
Got another update gang! I just got the lightbar for the EctoStang. I think it was pulled off of a firetruck, it’s lenses are red, and it’s HUGE. It’ll work well though, popped in some new bulbs and hooked it up, and they lit and spun fine. Just wanted to let you know everyone.

I’m going to be taking measurements today in order to design the roof rack, once I get them I’ll make another sketch of the EctoStang, this one with proportionate rack and such, and then start building.
Ok guys, you wanted a picture of the lightbar, here it is sitting on top of the car, and on top of the grille is the rotator bubble that’s on it all the time now.

Some progress pics of us putting up the ecto’s advertisement.
Well in a few days, I’ll be getting the Ecto’s new lightbar. It’s a completely brand new vector, with four rotator pods, two flashing pods, and one spot pod (I think) It’s going to be all amber, cept the center pod which is clear. Thankfully, it came with brackets and a control box. Also, the ecto’s roof rack parts including mounting gear are coming together, and by the end of this week, I should be welding the steel together for her rack and hopefully HOPEFULLY her roof rack will be mounted, powered, and ready to bust!
Ok guys, here’s the EctoStang’s new lightbar. It was just sitting on top at time of the shots, but in 2 hours, I got it mounted to the gutters, and lit up, and it’s beautiful!
