She’s definately shaping up, the lights make all the difference and up her ‘wow’ factor in appearance. 
Oh definately on the ‘wow’ effect. People in Joliet didn’t pay much attention to her anymore, and now they just kinda open-mouth stare. It’s friggin awesome :lol:!! And thanks 
Augh.. It’s also attracted the attention of 2 cops in 1 night.. Blegh I don’t think my heart/underwear can take it.
They were probably wondering why the hell a mustang had light bars on it. However, nothing is illegal so there shouldnt be anything to worry about. Unless..You are riding around with the lights on driving down the road (which even that is debatable since they are amber and white lights but some cops dont like it) or your wanted for some kind of criminal offense and by having the light bar your just adding attention to yourself. Remember, you cant get in trouble (just made fun of from people who dont understand) so you have nothing to worry about.
Well that’s what I told myself. I have talked to numerous cops who said it was okay, but those small town cops are like barney fife. I know I’m going to have trouble when I go down to pekin next week.. Those cops hate you if you have a freakin flashlight on your car… Shudder But I know that they’re legal, it still just freaked me out. I’m willing to bet in Joliet I could get away with running the lights, in fact I talked to a Joliet fuzz who I asked if I could get a permit for filming, that I could run them, and he said yes, just go down to city hall or the police station.. I dun remember. Rockdale cops hated just when the Ecto had 2 amber lights. When they see the Vector.. They’re gonna go psycho..
Ok damnit, now I’m going to have to drive back up to Joliet to see this thing in person. lol You got brass Ecto96, a lot of brass. And I admire brass. As well as most shiny objects…lol Either way, great job!

Digging the tubes, she’s shaping up.
I’m not an expert, so don’t quote me on this; but from what I’ve seen the questionable lights are red and blue, due to being associated with Police, Fire and Medical.
I don’t know about green in America (It’s used for Doctor cars here), but yellow seems to be the most leniently enforced by police because it’s almost always used with public works.
As long as you have the hometown cops on your side, if the Joliet ones cause a rukus you could refer them to your own devision.
But I’m not an expert, it’s good to see you colsulting your local law enforcement.
Joliet cops got more important things to worry about. It’s the little crap-town cops I gotta watch out for. Y’know, barney fife kind. Anyways, I’m going to add some clamps to hold them together and to the upper part of the fender, buuuuut, here’s the blue conduits on the driver side of Ecto 96

Thanks guys! Actually tonight I was driving past this hot-dog place that had a small car show going on. I pulled in and asked, they said all were welcome, so I said “I’m gonna get my stuff!” Ran home, got into uniform, grabbed my stuff, and went back. She got all kinds of compliments tonight. She’s also gotten compliments at gas stations, includling “That’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen” Thanks guys!
How are the suction cups connected to the blue tubes? I cant really tell from that picture.
They aren’t. The blue tube on the right is held on to the upright support for the rack by a U bolt, and the one on the left is attached to the tube on the right by another U bolt. I’ll get a closer picture while I’m out and about today.
Did I ever tell you how much I hate you for having a really kool ecto?

You have to hear this, last night I pulled into a taco bell lot to talk to some new lennox cops who were doing a safety check. When I turned back to walk to the car, there were two teenagers checking her out, and the guy said “this is the coolest car ever!” and he was so excited he drooled on himself! XD!! Then he went back inside, and the chick who was still out there was taking pictures of her, and my pack sitting in the front seat, didn’t take a pic of me though, even though I was in uniform, oh well, I gave her my card, I swear she was flirting with me :lol:
