Ok I hope I’m posting this question in the right forum area but here we go.
Question: Do you guys think there could possibly be a spin off issue where the guys need Kylie to suit up or maybe even bring in the the whole EGB team? I was thinking maybe for a special plot point where the guys are captured by some demon or monster from the netherworld. Maybe even just have Kylie and Janine suit up and save the guys last minute or something. I think that would be a cool issue. I would love to see Kylie wearing that EGB pack we saw in the last few issues. Just a thought. Gotta give the goth chick some lovin lol.
The IDW ongoing series. Kylie appears in the most recent two issues (#5-6) as an assistant at Ray’s Occult book store.
Answering the question…
As much as I enjoyed EGB, this comic should concentrate on the original Ghostbusters and Janine, as it is now. Other recurring characters should be kept to a minimum.
That said, since Kylie is there and established, as a one-off deal it would be neat to see her in a more active role. And I wouldn’t mind at least a small nod or two to the other EGB characters ie Kylie saying something like “Nah, the phone call was just my boyfriend griping about his cop brother again” (an allusion to Eduardo)
A spin-off series is probably too much to hope for, but I’d buy it.
Yeah I figure there will never be a spin off but wouldn’t mind a few more EGB nods at least. I think they should at least give Kylie a proton pack at least one time.
If the comic makes it to year two and three, it’s been said she’ll appear more and there might situations where these other employees may strap on packs.
Well, Alan from the Sanctum of Slime Video Game appeared in the first issue. So there’s more than one generation of Ghostbusters being written into to IDW story line.
It would be cool is they did some sort of weird GB army as a one time team up. Say they somehow get transported to some alternate universe and they gotta get their RGB counterparts to team up with them along with the GBs from Sanctum of Slime and EGB and just have an all out brawl before skipping back to our demension on some new fangled device Egon had rigged up at the time. I think that would be a bit F@#$%^ up but oh well. lol.
Well I would like it more if it was the sanctum of slime guys, egb team, and the comic book guys. but that’s just my opinion. i don’t like multiples of the same character
Yeah they did it was called Forever Red. It was a good episode but I think a GB team up like that would be even better. Gotta love some MMPR though. That was another obsession of my childhood and early teens.
